I live at Mt Coot-tha, right near that news station. It was pretty nuts here last night, lightning striking tree's in the yard (it's mainly bushland). My house is cyclone rated though, not that I ever thought I'd need it... Intense storm! |

I was driving across story bridge when it hit, i thought the truck next to me just broke and water was rushing onto my car it was so sudden |

Hi to all fellow Australians, good to see an Aussie story bring you all out of the woodwork. Anyone that was near this storm, my sympathies. And whomever built that TV Station's building ought to be arrested for shoody workmanship, no matter how bad the storm was. |

We got stuck in a petrol station for half an hour on the way home... and the massive roof above the pumps was wobbling. When it was at it's worst, we couldn't even see the cars that were parked 10 metres away, and people were running across that 10 metres to get inside. A maximum of 3 seconds outside, and they were completely drenched. |

lol when it hit, i swear it wasnt that bad and I was in the city. Until I went for a drive to get pizza that night then i saw the carnage. There were suburbs of traffic lights off and trees down. Crazy night. I love my Brisbane |

I miss the storms in QLD they were wild. If we left the chairs on the balcony when one hit they would be gone the next day. |

Here in Florida - it's just a little cold (not too cold that we have to stop wearing the flip flops) and we get all the horrible/crazy/crappy news headlines that makes all look like complete morons.
