Sunday, December 28, 2008 5:49:27 PM uhm... what about the different types of terrain, if it's made for medical purposes... if like a kid got shot in the head.... they... would prolly die 15 minutes into being dragged across the sidewalk to the hospital instead of getting a paramedic or something...i mean... nice concept, but the person would get damaged even more from being dragged across the ground or floor!.. kindof stupid |

Monday, November 10, 2008 8:09:29 AM The whole concept about this thing is to show robots WORKING IN COOPERATION to get something done - align themselves in equal-sized rows, then pull together in ONE direction without bumping into each other. They probably change colors to make it easier for other robots (who probably have sensors to detect color? I don't know) or the audience, that they have already attached themselves to a string of other robots. Having 20 little robots that can pull 1kg of weight each (20kg total if they work together) can be superior to having 1 machine that can pull 20kg weight, for obvious reasons (saving energy if there are loads lighter than 20kg, saving time if there are for example 2 loads, 10 kg each). It's not rocket science. |

Monday, November 10, 2008 5:20:04 AM i understand the kid being bored when the robots are on their way but when they started pulling i would have been pouring joy at that age |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 11:22:21 PM Makes me think of "the humans are dead" by flight of the concords. These robots are for cleaning up the bodies after the robot vs humans war |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 8:33:09 PM Uhm, is it just me, or does anyone here actually understand this concept? I mean, seriously, rofl, you want your child into bed, so hey! Why not call on 20 units of Swarm-Bots! They only take 15 minutes to get into alignment while your child is lying on the floor, and your child can wear this beautiful white jacket so their normal clothes doesn't get effed up!No, but seriously, WTF |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 7:59:39 PM So, we're consciously creating robots designed to swarm humans? Holy crap, we are just asking for trouble. Replace that little claw thing with a stabbin' shiv and we're all drated. |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 7:45:14 PM Why do they have to swarm? Wouldn't it be faster, easier, and more cost efficient to create something just as low to the ground but with the ability to pull more weight? Any what was with the changing colours? Why'd they start off as any colour in the first place if in the end it didn't matter? |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 6:49:07 PM Move a little slow, hey? So what exactly is this for? I saw something about rescuing people in accidents. What sort of accidents that humans can't do? Can they pull more weight? And faster? |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 6:19:23 PM heh, almost none of you get the larger scale applications of this. This is what we like to call development. Meaning this isn't the final step or something, but it means that as technology improves we can use swarm bots to help rescue victims in an accident or something. Some researchers beleive that swarm bots are the true path of artificial intelligence. However i think that this is not so... its stills something to ponder. |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 5:52:00 PM i dont think its that impressive, my sister could build these if she had the raw materials. and yes, she is a flippin' genius.P.S. one step closer to pure lazyness, America ^^ |

Sunday, November 09, 2008 5:02:16 PM It's a good start to something big. But I agree with lilhawk2892. Some of the people who commented here weren't really thinking maturely. |
