Wow, I sit here with my flamethrower and nothing happens until I leave. But to be honest, there were no religious people in here worthy of flaming. The kind of religious people I dislike are the ones who hate others because of religion. The "Gays are going to hell!" kind. The central focuses of Christianity are forgiveness and tolerance. Not bigotry. I am a Christian for my own reasons, but I still find people who blindly accept something as the truth disgusting. |

I find it rather unlikely that there exists some sort of higher power, but religion? Pfft, I'd sooner believe that 2 + 2 = 54.Are you kidding me? 2000 years ago some random jew strolls into town and says that he is the son of god... AND YOU BELIEVE HIM... Why may I ask? Because he turned water into wine and such? Well, I saw David Copperfield make the statue of liberty disappear, what's your point? Or is it because he rose from the dead? According to whom? A handful of his devout followers? If David Copperfield were to walk up to you right now, say he is gods brother, and then the next day three of his friends show up and tell you that he died but then came back and flew into the sky and you don't believe him then you are a damned hypocrite. |

my religious studies teacher told me we should only take the symbolic meaning of the words in the bible and not accept the words as actual truth, but some form of religious truth. I call it bullpoo and last second damage control. |

and as clarification, i mean evultion/mutation/adaptation meaning were are not static creatures and are very much prone to change over years. but within certain boundries and not from species to species |

yes evolution/mutation/adaptation is very real.
i am speaking of the fact that the world was created by a big bang and over millions of years we evolved from protozoa to what we are today.
which would incorporate the theory of monkeys and humans sharing a common ancestory along with every other theory that makes up the theory of evolution. |

EVOLUTION IS NOT A FLIPPING THEORY. Humans and monkeys sharing a common ancestor is a theory. Many things in evolution is theory but evolution itself is NOT a theory. It has been proven. It's been proven countless times. You can find thousands of experiments that prove it withought a shadow of a doubt. Whether or not god triggered evolution is up for debate. |

well tahts cool and all, catchy song, but personally i believe that although evolution is a possible theory, it is impossible without some form of a god. (meaning i believe theistic evolution is possible, but not atheistic evolution)
