TX-55, the problem is the same when you have a heterosexual roommate that is of the opposite sex. There is sexual tension. That is an unarguable fact.
Heterosexuals are attracted to the opposite sex. Okay, even if that isn't true 100% of the time, heterosexuals aren't interested in homosexual sexual tension. That is why you wouldn't want a gay roommate if you are straight, and also why you wouldn't want a heterosexual roommate if you are gay. It isn't about acceptance, because the human sexual drive can't accept things that isn't in its norm. |

Oh, right. The video. Some of you guys didn't like the way the roommate sounded. I thought his voice was funny. Overall, pretty good, but it could've been better. It was well executed, but didn't have a satisfying ending. |

(Continued)They're people, just like every other person on the planet. Who cares if they like members of the same sex? I mean, honestly. It's not that big of a deal. You've gotta respect other people's lives. And if they happen to like the gender opposite of yours, well, deal with it. That's part of their lives. If a roommate was making advances on you, even after you told him that you didn't "swing that way", or however else you wanna say it, then you have every right to be angry, and must confront him about it. But if they've never made advances toward you, and you find out their gay after knowing them for a while, well, nothing happened originally, why would things be any different? My point is, gay people are people too. Treat them like regular people. And don't make fun of them; it's not nice, and you have no right to do so. All this to say that I'm 100% straight, but that's not blinding me from simple facts. Anyway, sorry about the double post, guys. |

I know it looks like everyone's already gotten past the conversation that took place about halfway through the comments, but I'd just like to state my opinion on the matter, and afterwards get straight to the video.I don't know why it's such a big deal. Honestly, I don't. If I knew a friend who I had *thought* was straight, but turned out to be gay, I'd be surprised, of course, but I wouldn't look at them any differently. It's still the same person. And besides, some gay people are actually really fun to talk to. Not that the conversations revolve around their orientation, they just happen to add something to the conversation with their opinions. And I'm not grouping all gays into one group, I'd never do that. Are straight people all grouped into one (I mean the subgroups, in retrospect)? (I have too many characters :L I'll have to make a double post. |
