Lol @ Batmanners... And you know what the graphics of the consoles can't stand up to? The PC...
The Wii is the first console to realize the place of consoles in the gaming world, they shouldn't be trying to do FPSs, RTSs, or RPGs... thats the domain of PCs. It finds something unique, doesn't try to compete graphically, and just focuses on gameplay. Consoles are for fighting, sports, and games you are meant to play with a few of your friends hanging out on the couch (e.g. party games) and the Wii finally acknowledges that consoles should stick to what they do best, and leave the rest to PCs.

Batmanners - I take it you don't like the Wii for some reason.OK, the graphics aren't on par with a PS3, and maybe you do consider the control to be a gimmick. Fair enough. However, I'd sooner play a Wii game than an Xbox360/PS3 game. Firstly, almost every title on xbox/PS is either an FPS, racing game, or sports sim. There is little variety there. 2ndly, it's much more satisfying playing, say, a golf game on the Wii than it's graphically superior counterparts. Finally, it's only classed as a gimmick if it has niche appeal. The Wii has outsold both consoles easily, and consistently. It has also revolutionised gaming, with more diverse games, and more diverse ways of gaming. That's not a gimmick. That's an innovation. The only r-tards are the people who choose to consistently bash the Wii cos they're PS/Xbox fanbois who are in denial about the outcome of the whole console war, and who took the console war all too seriously in the first place. - Lighten up FFS! |

I am just going to say what I've always said about the Wii.Other than the fact it cannot possibly match up to the graphics of the XBox 360 or the PS3;
It is a gimmick. And a gimmick is exacltly what the Wii is and nothing more. If you remove the motion sensor gimmick, from ANY Wii game, and insert any actual game play, the Wii loses ALL its titles and fun. The way I look at it. Nintendo might as well have made a platform for Guitar Hero, because it's all it is, a F***ing GIMMICK. And some obnoxious r-tards are r-tarded enough to buy this r-tarded effortless uninnovative r-tarded idea.
