Sharpest, right now im taking AP English and a lot of the things we are doing on Rhetorical Method I've heard in Rap songs. Its not simple music.If rap is simple, you don't get the basics
(and dont lump all of regaeton into 1 category. Calle 13 is creative)

I'm just bashing the most stupid and commercial oriented genres. Also, I'm not imposing anyone anything. I mean, who the f*ck am I to tell you what to hear? I'm just saying the most stupid music is the most commercial music nowadays, when it shouldn't. It's a shame that the music industry is based purely on "how good will it sell" and not "how talented the musician is". That's why it's all going downhill. |

Rap is basically some rhyming words put together (usually making little sense and distorting grammar/ spelling in order to make them fit) with a repetitive beat on the background. Really, that's pathetic. Neolithical cavemen were already past that crap.
As many people I know, I'm shocked the youth buys it so much. The bands that get the big bucks nowadays make the most stupid pseudo-music ever (rap, reggaeton, emofag rock). The truly talented artists/ bands don't get a bit of attention. It's kinda sad.Back on topic:

quite frankly, almost all rap sucks, isnt real music with any emotion or even meaning, and im absolutely ashamed that my generation is buying into it so much >_<a few rappers manage to put meaning into that crap, and even then, its AT BEST pathetic. |

And a lot of the top selling albums are rap.
Last year
#2 was KONVICTED by Akon
Fergie has some hip-hop and she was 3
Kanye was 12
Kingdom Come was 20 And that was a rap year that was considered weak. T.I. could've had a better album. His current one is good, Not to Mention Lil' Wayne's THA CARTER 3 had so many leaks it was pushed back until a few months ago |
