Even IF you make a teacher teach a specific curriculum, it doesn't mean the kids will listen or learn. The responsibility to learn is in the hands of the pupil. I don't think government has a place in schooling at all. I'm a somewhat agnostic evolutionist personally, by the way. The problem with government controlling schools is that they HAVE to teach so that the dumbest kid in the room understands it. This makes the smart kids simply unused potential, leaving more dull than when they came in. Also, it gives the government the opportunity to indoctrinate children into believing in and following a government agenda. You know what "teaching good citizenship" means? It means docility and complacency. |

try to keep up....she said she wants to teach both...personally, that makes sense...keep evolution and creationism as electives, that you can take if you want...I don't see a problem with that... |

Personally, I think evolution and creationism can co-exist, but thats for another place and another time, methinks. |
