Tuesday, August 26, 2008 5:49:30 AM Primetimkin, you Wanna start a baseball war. (or basketball, or football wither 1). Either way, the Yankees will make it. Theres a 3-game series tonight and if they sweep, they'll be only 1 1/2 games back (or 2 I forgot). And they won 7 of their past 8. So they still got 1 hell of a chance of making the playoffs. O and btw, I am a Lakers fan :D. ( that usually starts making people argue that second I say that). |

Monday, August 25, 2008 9:53:46 PM "That was a good curve though." that was definitely not a curve. that was a fastball to the balls. it's just that the quality of the vid is so pooty that you can't tell. it's called a splitter, look it up, it's contreras out pitch and he will throw anytime in the count. a curve ball would've never hit the batter (craig monroe) b/c it would be going away from him instead of straight towards him. and no pitcher would be crazy enough to throw an inside curve to a mlb batter, that'd be giving up the long ball in a silver platter. |

Monday, August 25, 2008 8:11:14 PM You guys keep wondering why this guy doesn't move the way you think he should in the box... go to a batting cage (Not the kiddie 60-70 mph ones, try the 90 mph ones) and see how fast you can move away from a ball flying at you... and don't forget, he doesn't think it'll be coming at him...

Monday, August 25, 2008 6:40:59 PM The way the red sox have been playing lately, they're starting to scare me again (except for the game yesterday where they pulled it out in the 11th). *starts packing to move out of Boston* |

Monday, August 25, 2008 6:15:47 PM I'm suprised that that doesn't happen more often, cos it did look at first like it was hanging for a while (which a good curveball look like, duh) and it's understandable that he'd thrust his hips out like that, but why do batters try some crazy matrix dodge, when they could just hop out of the batter's box? |

Monday, August 25, 2008 5:32:23 PM Ok, since everyone is curious about this. mickey, its called baseball, you should try it. Its fun. Panda/HOLYCRAP, that pitch was a curve ball. Those pitches often get away from you. He was aiming low and inside and he just got too close inside. The reason he thrust his pelvis out is because he thought it was a hanging curveball (a curveball that doesnt go down) so he was trying to avoid it.
