i thought it was funny because those movies are all very similar( though quality) and have really annoying super mellow indie ballads in them. |

i never saw juno cus i thought it looked like a chick flick.
but the girl i'm kinda, sorta, almost, going out with, but it's really complicated looks like juno according to my sister and her friends... but i dont see it at all. at all. |

I really hate when people call movies pretentious. Look if you'd rather watch mindless movies like The Transformers, instead of those "pretentious art films" then go ahead. But don't insult a movie just because it doesn't have the Michael Bay Standard of at least 5 explosions in it. Some movies are a little more discreet than that.On a side note: I've also noticed that when people claim a movie is "pretentious", it just serves in making them look like they're too stupid to understand it. Therefore, according to their logic, it's just a pretentious art film. |

I watched Garden State BECAUSE of the music. I knew most of it before and someone told me that it was used very well in the movie. And they were right.Juno was overated. But the video was soo true. |

I thought Juno was okay.
Not anywhere near as fantastic as half the teenagers today proclaim it to be, though.
And the music was absolutely terrible. Well, in my taste anyway. I think I actually instinctively plugged my ears at one point during the movie.
I have no idea what Garden State is, but I do enjoy Frou Frou.As for the video...
It wasn't that funny because it's true. |

I would totally fall for that trap. ahahah.Oi. Juno's soundtrack was crap and I'm a pretty avid and admitted fan of indie/hipster/whatever music. They should have made it sound more like authentic indie/hipster/acousta-folk music. The song they ended up with just sounded weird, not particularly indie-ish movie soundtrack. |
