FIRST No, for Olympic qualifying rounds you only get one chance because its just to qualify and they have to move faster than what they would at a typical meet.Second, I respect him for having the courage to do that but that was a slow time. Third, 1:06 is a slow time. considering you're in yard not meters. And That i can swim breast stroke faster than that. |

actually thats pretty realistic..
my 100 free is 1:06.i have a lot of respect for him, having the courage to go up there and swim even though he isnt that good.
but how on earth did he qualify for the olympic trials?
and if you jump the gun, don't you get to re-do it?
thats how all my swim meets went. |

the flip turn was horrible he shoul dhave used it longer... not a good swimmer. the othere would have finished a lot sooner! |

Yeah it was in the Sidney Olympics, but he didn't make it to the finals due to the rather bad time ;) |

awwh i just googled him, he was determined to finish..and they didn't let him in the 2004 olympics becaue of a visa!? bah! it's the olympics! make exceptions. he should be competing this year, his personal best is under 57 seconds now! |

The guy comes from a country where the biggest pool is 20 metres. He learned to swim eight months before going. I have the biggest respect for him, for going out and swimming, and he probably can swim faster than most people laughing at him. |

That guy actually went out there and did his best, he lucked out. I'm pretty sure this was for the 2004 Olympics (wouldn't be 2002 because those were winter olympics, and swimming in winter isn't a good idea) |
