Tuesday, August 05, 2008 12:11:33 AM katrina ha!Edouard can't even begin to compare with katrina. mainly cause Edouard is a tropical storm and not a hurricain. katrina was a cat 4 when it hit land it was a 5 but downgraded slightly right before land fall. if katrina would have been a direct hit fema wouldn't have rebuilt the city |

Monday, August 04, 2008 9:05:42 PM this has no time to reach the level of intensity that Katrina was. seriously. it's that close to land and it's still a tropical storm.and Florida summers are way nastier than anything because of humidity. |

Monday, August 04, 2008 8:30:08 PM I'm from Texas and all I can say is I hope I get some rain in DFW. I was on vacation in Cancun and Dolly hit 2 days before it even made landfall in Texas. It was just a tropical storm at the time, but it just rained for 2 days and thats all. If anyone has experience with hurricanes and tropical storms, you know a cat.1 isn't any worse than a strong thunder storm. |

Monday, August 04, 2008 8:13:45 PM ^^ Too true GolfRocks. I was looking for the Airport... got lost and ended up with a flat in a dead end wasteland off the interstate. The rest, as they say, is history. |

Monday, August 04, 2008 8:10:36 PM golfrocks, Miami is oddly shaped. You have the tourist attractions in the east, the ghetto west of that, and then the burbs west of that where there are some attraction spots. South Miami is 2 miles away from rich places in the North/West/East but a lot of parts of South Miami is the ghetto. Where I live (West Miami) I have a ghetto a block south, and upper middle class 4 blocks north |

Monday, August 04, 2008 8:02:40 PM ^^ No Prime, I don't know anyone in Miami, but I did have a good time there. Mind you, I grew up in Belfast, and have been to Baghdad, Tehran, Libya and Kabul. And the closest I ever came to getting murdered for my watch was when I took a wrong turn on vacation and ended up in South Miami. And Legacy, if your neighbours are arseholes, then I say fair enough. I would have laughed too. |
