Monday, August 04, 2008 3:46:05 PM Thank you jojobobisme for clearing that up. I was pretty sure this wasn't all Favres fault. What ever the story is, you can't deny him being a great QB. |

Monday, August 04, 2008 3:01:15 PM Ok guys, to end the confusion. He retired in March despite having 2 years left on his contract. About a month later, he had 2nd thoughts about retiring and asked to be re-instated to the Packers, which they denied. The Packers' new starting QB is Aaron Rodgers, their previous 2nd string. Recently, the Packers offered Favre $2 million a year for 10 years to stay retired, although he refused. Favre is to be reinstated today, and the Packers' spokesman says they will make this benefit them, or something liek that. |

Monday, August 04, 2008 11:53:35 AM I used to like favre tho not a packer fan but what he did to the packers shows he has no class. He retired and they tried to talk him out of it but he said no.So they go in a new direction tell Arron your our qb. Then he comes back no wait I want to play.He has caused nothing but turmoil for the team I hope they make him ride the bench.......... |

Monday, August 04, 2008 6:30:55 AM He really put the Pack in a bad spot. What about Rogers? He finally gets the starting job then opps. I'm no Packers fan but I respect them and Farve but Farve has eally screwed some people over. Should be interesting. (and I thought we had QB drama here in Philly). |

As for me... ====================================== Well Bring your dad to IAB, I need to talk to people about this. I was listening to Mike & Mike (first on tv, then in car). They were saying that as a player you always go for the vet even if he isn't the best thing for the team.
Remember this is Aaron Rodger's contract season. If he leaves then they have to go with Brohm (who is a beast mind you) but still. |

Monday, August 04, 2008 6:18:07 AM I'm from Wisconsin. May I just say that this whole situation was handled terribly? Brett should not have acted like a 5 year old, and the Packers should not have threatened Brett with "second-string" status. I do not want to see Favre as a Viking or a Jet! Ewwwww. |
