You think we can keep burning this crap into perpetuity? How about, "Whoever can come up with a sane, rational, and ambitious energy policy so I don't have to be at the mercy of oil barons for the rest of my life." We could have had complete independence of oil 10 years ago if people like that moron would have demanded it. Instead their narrow minded view has cursed us into this death grip. But it's for that reason that I've welcomed these high gas prices, and I think they should be higher. I said this 3 years ago when people were bitching about two dollar gas and still not doing a thing about it. The only way the sheeple will demand, or even accept, change is when it affects their pocketbooks. Sad state of affairs, but it's what we've got. So I say keep |
