Wednesday, July 30, 2008 3:58:12 PM For the past few months earthquakes have been gradually increasing. If studies are being shown right, a much, much bigger one is on it's way. These smaller ones are just trying to relieve stress. |

Wednesday, July 30, 2008 3:07:05 PM SoCal are wusses. Last October NorCal had a larger quake which was closer to the surface (joltier shaking) and lasted three times as long and there wasn't nearly as much press coverage. Get over it. |

Wednesday, July 30, 2008 6:41:07 AM Ahh, I was in that area a couple months ago. I totally wish this would have happened then!! =PEarthquakes are serious stuff, I know. But when I was real little, I always went to this science center with my family. They had an earthquake simulator there, and I would spend hours riding it, lol. It was so much fun! I know a real earthquake would be totally different, but I really don't fear them because of that. Anddd, I think I'm rambling. |

Wednesday, July 30, 2008 3:10:12 AM ^^ Prime, nah, you'll be OK. A big quake will come, but it could be next week or could be in 2108. And it'll probably be either way east or way north of LA, so UCLA should be safe enough. |

Tuesday, July 29, 2008 9:10:49 PM Oh, and does anyone know about the fans there? I know there will not be a place with Miami fans where you are guaranteed to see the wave/ a drunk guy/ an fans from the other team every time. But does LA have anything similar to that? |

Tuesday, July 29, 2008 9:04:08 PM People are scared of the natural disasters they haven't grown up with; when my mom's friend visited here and there was a big earthquake she totally freaked out, but earthquakes aren't a big deal for the native Californians in my family. I think moderate earthquakes like the one today are fun! However, when they had a tornado warning at my college, I was super-scared, when the people who grew up with those were totally fine. |

Tuesday, July 29, 2008 8:47:03 PM I like the ground staying still. I guarantee I would be hiding under my bed with a 3.0, get out say, "well, thats not so bad" and then cry like a bitch when I feel the aftershock. And Hurricanes are awesome. They happen during school. If I could survive Andrew I could survive any hurricane |

Tuesday, July 29, 2008 8:44:08 PM PTK...yeah we get earthquakes, but they're really not a big deal AT ALL. i'd rather have the occasional 4 or 5 pointer than have to worry about hurricanes or tornadoes or anything like that. dunno anything about sports games though. |

Tuesday, July 29, 2008 8:42:06 PM ^lol primetimekin. And no you shouldn't let earthquakes stop you from coming here. I've lived here my whole life and I've only been in one major earthquake, but that was in 1994. And i can only remember one other minor one besides the one today. |

Tuesday, July 29, 2008 8:16:10 PM One more thing, are games there exciting, as far as being with the fans? I came back from a Mets- Marlins game and there were a whole bunch of Mets fans. 3 people got escorted by the police from my section alone, and I was close to being the next... so can I expect that there? |
