i absolutely hate how people can even call this wrestling. this is not a professional sport like collegiate folk style or greco roman or free style. this is huge shirtless idiots thinking they are tough. disgusting! |

Yes, they do get hit in the head with chairs, but it looks worse than it actually is. The key is to do with physics, I think. If you have a large surface area connecting with another large surface area, the pressure is going to be equally spread and, theoretically, should hurt less. That works for back-shots. For head-shots, you might notice the wrestlers putting their arms in the way to soften the blow. Either that or it's made from light, maleable aluminium. The tables are real, but the quality of said tables is usually very poor, allowing them to break easily, so they will get hurt very little, less so as they have been trained to take these falls.
Essentially, they are just lots of stuntmen, no special effects, and cheap materials dressed up to look good. |

wrestling is awesome. Ye it's scripted and some moves are fake. But when they get hit with a chair or jump off the ropes into the tables or slam through tables, it's real. These guys go through extraordinary pain for the fans entertainment. But they get hit with the chair in a certain spot on the head that causes the least damages. There's a right way and a wrong way to do it. |

I'm no wrestling fan, but the only fake thing about wrestling is the fact that the fights are fixed. Yes, those stupid little kicks they do are fake as well, but I don't know if any of you have ever been hit in the fudgin head with a metal chair or not. It's not fun. Or fake. At all. I love how baldy just took it "like a man." |
