Saturday, July 26, 2008 9:28:22 AM Actually as a member of the Jitsu foundation we use quite a few of those. They're not all individual words for throwing you on your arse, e.g: o-soto-gari o=major soto=outer gari=sweep thus.. o-soto-gaki gaki=stomp.(Yeah I don't care if the japanese is spelt differently it's not even meant to be written in latic character to start with!) |

Friday, July 18, 2008 12:04:30 PM Katagaruma is the funnest and probably the easiest too. By the way, if you click anywhere on the time line of the video repeatedly, you can watch a japanese guy get thrown into the ground over and over again. |

Friday, July 18, 2008 6:43:08 AM Eskimos (Inuits and other races included) have only 4 words for snow. They DO, however, have around 30 words for demonstrative pronouns. We have 'that' 'these' 'those' and 'this' while they have words for 'that over there' and 'that up top' etc etc. It's a myth about the snow thing. |

Friday, July 18, 2008 6:35:33 AM about the geordie/mackham thing... i got a worse one that always pisses me off: you tell people that you live near a city and they assume ur from it ie middlesbrough and newcastle (im from boro) and they assume ur a geordie. ITS 50 dratIN MILES AWAY FFS!and btw back on subject... there are loads of tribes in the northern areas which are neither eskimo nor inuit, and people assume they prefer inuit when they actually don't |

Friday, July 18, 2008 4:06:15 AM "Now we have to call them Inuits."Calling an Eskimo and Inuit is like calling a Geordie a Mackem. Unless they are an Inuit of course |
