Saturday, July 12, 2008 1:28:31 AM It seems that he IS coming back but the admin of the Pack don't seem to want him. Rogers is their guy. So when (and he will) he applies for reinstatement and what little of the coolness he has left, Green Bay will hand him his out right release. Then he gets to learn a new offense scheme and then RE retire, a loser. The old drat should have stayed retired. However, it would be halarious to see him slap GB in the proverbial face and sign with Minesota, who really needs a QB anyway. 17 years of "loyalty" don't mean poo to a ego like Favre. |

Friday, July 11, 2008 5:44:51 PM Favre WON'T go to the Bears or Vikings. If he does, I'm sorry, but he loses my support completely. I'm a die-hard Packers fan, and I love Brett, but HONESTLY the guy needs to retire. He told the management he was going to retire, and so they made decisions based on that. GET ON WITH IT. If he goes and plays for another team it'll be sad, but it better hell not be the Bears or Vikings. |

Friday, July 11, 2008 4:14:29 PM Well actually, if anybody's been paying attention to the news today, Brett asked the Packers just today to release him. Apparently he's in shape and has been working out/throwing footballs. It's not if anymore, it's a matter WHO he plays for now. |

Friday, July 11, 2008 4:09:43 PM There's no way he would come back. I'm a Packer fan, and I can honestly not see why he would do that. He lead his team on a record-breaking season this year, took them to the semi-finals and got beat by the team that won the Super Bowl. He's a living legend, and he knows that if he comes back, he would seriously risk destroying that image if he wasn't able to continue his winning streak. That's not to say I wouldn't mind seeing him as a coach or assistant or something... |

Friday, July 11, 2008 4:01:14 PM Brett Favre playing with the Vikings? WOW... That defense, Adrian Peterson, that offensive line, Bernard Berrian the deep threat, Sidney Rice the possesion guy, and Brett Favre at QB? I'm not a Vikings fan, but WOW. |

Friday, July 11, 2008 3:55:14 PM What a huge disappointment it would be to see him play for another team. The Packers are such a unique team, seriously that town has a population of like 150,000, and Favre already treated like a king there. Too bad. Not sure if I could cheer for him if he plays for another team...god forbid he plays for the Vikings or the Bears. |

Friday, July 11, 2008 3:02:08 PM I don't think Favre would be stupid enough to say that the mvp was rightfully his. |

Friday, July 11, 2008 3:00:11 PM Actually, anyone who followers the NFL whatsoever better know this... it is on every web page, tv show and otherwise. As far as blowing little comments out of proportion, it's not so much doing that as much as the fact that he hasn't said a thing about it. His own family members think he will return. The thing is, as it looks now, the Pack don't want him. Of course everyone wants him to come back, he is a living NFL legend. He is the Iron Man of football. Imagine doing what Cal Ripken did... only 100x worse. Instead of pitching... getting hit by 230 lbs linebackers. Hopefully he comes back.. and the Jets get him =). |
