Erk, that second post. I think it made me into a coulrophobic.Mine:
Acrophobia - especially the falling part
Telephonophobia - what? when I say email me, you'd better not fcuking call.
Escalaphobia - escalators, and a search on that cemented my fear
Clautophobia - this is actually fear of elevators
Those last two suck because I'm disabled and need to use one or the other to get around. Seriously, I'll often scoot down stairs on my ass rather than take an escalator. They all seem reasonable to me.  |

The butterfly one really isn't that bad....I mean, did you see that first picture? Geez, even I would hate to be in the middle of that.But I'm not afraid of butterflies, I'll tell 'ya that. |

I thought the fear of long words was hyperpolysyllabicsesquipadeliaphobia.I cringe when I see a needle penetrating skin, but I don't think I am trypannophobic. I do think though, that I am apiphobic. People who are afraid of balloons are probably ligyrophobic, that is, afraid of loud noises, especially when sudden. I am like that (only with balloons, though). And I think I am a little astraphobic too. |

My friend has Lepidopterophobia. Haha, we love making her look at pics of butterflies.  I think she'll be happy now that I tell her it's an actual phobia and it's not just her that has it. |

As far as these silly phobias...or any phobias actually, most of the time people aren't even actually afraid of the actual object but a bad experience, memory or stigma about the object. Psychologists usually treat phobias by introducing them and making the person understand that its not just the bad feelings they are feeling that are associated with the object.
So it's actually understandable I don't think they are really all that obsurd. |

Same with pools."That's the weird thing about me, I like swimming and diving, and deep pools are fine because I can see the bottom, but even slightly offshore in a murky lake and I wimp out. |

Wow I have none of these phobias. I don't really like looking at myself in a mirror, reflection, photo, or video; but it isn't a full blown fear or phobia. Freaking Pamela of all people having that phobia is beyond me. I always imagined herself checking out her own boobs! Whoever has most of these phobias isn't fully human. Oprah has a good show but I always knew she was a nutcase, somehow.TOM CRUISE SUCKS! |

and i can understand the fear of bright colors. it's probably not so much fear as just overstimulation and thus increase in heart rate, and so on. i often find just a normal environment too much. |

i used to freak out every time i saw inkblots...i'd always see completely evil things in them. haven't looked at them in a grip though so i dunno if that subsided.
also bird feet terrify me. |

Bathophobia, the fear of depth. I get very uncomfortable swimming where I can't see the bottom.Acrophobia but only on the edge of a high place. I guess the two are kinda related. Also, millipedes and centipedes, but especially the millipedes. |
