Saturday, June 21, 2008 6:03:11 PM When will people like that realize that god doesn't exist and they're only talking to themselves when they pray? |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 2:08:44 PM I don't think these people were what you'd call 'real' Christians, they're more of the cult type -- as far as I know, in the Bible there's nothing that says you should always pray for healing and not go see a doctor. Those people are just morons, plain and simple. |

Isnt it like a waste of their time to be listening to prayers about stuff that can be "healed" by real doctors.. I dunno, maybe im just not understanding it?" That about sums it up. Religion can be good, some people are just stupid... |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 11:48:07 AM OH! No sh*t what did they think was going to happen? It's terrible that an innocent girl had to die unnesacarily due to the stupidity of her own parents. It's times like this that you just want to say "WHAT NOW???". You're not gonna say it. But you're thinking it. |

Atheism is defined as the lack of belief in God, not the belief that there is no God or that there should be no religion. Many atheists *also* may happen to believe such things, but you can't generalize that under the umbrella of 'atheists'. |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 11:12:55 AM "..So..much..religious..hateee... I'm completely, 100%, atheist, but I'd never insult someone else's religion or try to convince them their religion is "wrong". Acceptance, people, acceptance!"You are officially my favorite athiest ever. I really don't have a problem with athiests not believing in god, as long as they don't go around town screaming "THERE IS NO GOD!" |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 11:06:55 AM Now being a devote christian, it does kind of hurt me that the athiests on this site continually (sp?) speak badly of religion. I don't let it bother me though, because everyone has their opinions. Athiests beleive in no religion, Christians believe in Christ, Greek believe in Zues and their other gods, etc. Religion should be a private thing. You don't bother my beliefs, I won't bother yours. I don't go knocking on peoples doors asking them to come to christ, because if they were at any time going to believe in God, then they would do it on their own. That being said, everyone should take their coins of their country and throw them at ducks. 10 points if you hit them in the head! |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 11:01:59 AM "You wish! Hah! That record most likely belongs to the US constitution. Anyway, the new testament was assembled through the votes of various christian sects at the council of Nicaea. You might call it well copied but its origins are far from 'perfect'."Well uhm... The Constitution has been changed many times, ie. Amendments added... so wouldn't that be even farther from the original document than the New Testament? Well people, I'm going to put in my 2 cents here. I am a strong Lutheran Christian, but I am going to ask that athiest do not start calling me a 'Cultist' or anything stupid like that. I believe in God the Father, and Jesus the Messiah. I also beleive in science. Having a Faith Healer is great and all, but a doctor should be utilized in medical cases too. God made plants and herbs and things like that, and gave them healing powers. He gave humans knowledge, and that knowledge was used to start medical services. Doctors are not masters of Blasphemy, after all |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 8:24:16 AM FREAKING BIBLE THUMPERS!!! god it ticks me off that they need to learn that when humans have the potential to heal ourselves GOD WILL NOT HEAL US.they need to learn that.if i had a child and he/she was sick id take them to a doctor. they are dying id take them to a doctor and pray for their success not rely on god completely. when we get the potential to heal ourselves of a disease god will not heal us at all.GOD PEOPLE ARE STUPID! |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 6:01:42 AM TonyBlairPM: Without even entering into any religious argument, how can you say someone is scum just because they choose not to believe in god? And if you think atheists are scum, that means that you must profess a belief in some god yourself. If that is the case, are you faithfully executing the tenets of your particular faith by prejudging another section of the community, and inciting hatred? It seems at least one insecure little toe rag just loves to label anyone with any form of belief (or ethnicity, as shown in other posts) as scum. I think it may be because the word scum can easily be typed solely with the left hand, whilst the right hand is obviously busy doing other things. |
