Friday, June 20, 2008 8:43:06 AM Great Scott! This is far from the nice girls I see doing kissy kissy miam miam in my porn collection! :0) Anyway. I say good for them. It is about time we liberate gay people from the YMCA stereotype. I still think it is weird to love someone of the same sex but what you gonna do? Love will prevail anyway so why bother trying to kill it! |

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 10:40:41 PM Interestingly enough, all 13 states that had a direct vote voted no on gay marriage. Our supreme court just overturned it. (they can actually do that. yay political system) |

Wednesday, June 18, 2008 7:55:54 AM "Obviously you aren't familiar with arranged marriage."I said earlier, "Well, you can't expect people to get married just because they feel like it, or they're being forced into it!" That is arranged marriage, although if they love each other, than it is a happy marriage. |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 10:14:54 PM If you hate gays, why not ban straight marriage? They're the ones having gay babies. |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 8:11:32 PM I got bored of trying to find the flame war (though I assume there is one by now) but I noticed somebody talking about Canada. Watch out if you live in Alberta. Please correct me if my information is dated but I've heard from my law professor they want to use the "Not Without Clause" (I believe that's what it's called) from the Charter to make gay marriage illegal in that province. "Not Without" is the same thing Quebec used to keep their signs in French. And hooray for that couple. That story made my night, and when they cut the cake was just adorable. |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 5:34:23 PM The only legal problem with calling it not marriuage but having it be the same rights is that there are over 500 rights that are granted federally by marriage, and not by any other union no matter how the state votes. Marriage is supposed to be a state controlled institution, but there are still some federal rights (taxes, death benefits, health care, etc) that can't be avoided. To change that would be to amend the constitution, and good luck with that one.PS, marriage has been on a "slippery slope" ever since a wife wasn't considered chattel and a man's property, and ever since interracial marriage was allowed. |

Exactally, so, I'm agnostic, I don't want my marriage to have to deal with your god but i still want to be married. who decided it was a christian term? that's unfair and stupid. but most things are... |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 2:13:37 PM I'm glad people aren't remarking on how homosexuals and same-sex marraiges are stupid or anything. I think they can do what they want, there are just pros and cons to everything, that's all. |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 1:16:37 PM I actually just made this account so I could post on here so yah...DavisBoy, if you can't see the difference between two consenting adults and the rape of a child or animal, I think that is more of a personal issue, not one of the gay community. NeiltheSheep- yes I am for gay marriage. Yes, (though I would never practice it) I think polygamy between consenting adults should not be illegal- they should be able to decide to do what they want with their lives/bodies. Tay-Dor- I'm pretty sure most gay couples wouldn't mind if they were in a civil union- it would have to be equal in status to a marriage in all regards though. However this is frankly impossible. History says "separate but equal" is NEVER truly separate AND equal (check: Brown vs. Board of Education (1954)). If you would truly want unions and marriages to be equal, then call them he same thing. That being said, rock-on old ladies! That is an amazing display of care and devotion they've maintained throughou |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 1:11:58 PM well..I think that's the fear I think.Saying marriage between a man and a woman is only ok because the bible says so is retarded is retarded in itself. Marriage at all I think is a religious ceremony to begin with...or it started that way. So when you throw out any standards or rules (such as it must be a man and a woman, or you can't marry more than one person) then you get a complete meltdown of the system. Why can't I marry a chicken? Because my religion says no? well..that rule no longer applies...I don't know if it is rational..but I think that's the fear. |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 1:06:37 PM i support gay marriage, and as long as they consent polygamy shouldn't be a problem. but since i can't vote, i guess it doesn't matter too much =] |

Seriously, I love to see how you can explain this..

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 12:49:16 PM I'm not here to argue but I do want to make one post, so bother trying to start and arguement with me. Here is the problem with Gay marriage. Conservatives believe it is a choice and is wrong based upon biblical principles. So if you have a gay couple who has children, The sexual views of the child is more likly to be based on the idea that their body is free for them to use however they wish regardless of their age. This decision is just another open door in the process to get statutory rape, bestiality, and polygamy laws to also be overturned. |

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 12:22:11 PM primetimekin- so have you always been an advocate for not allowing non-religious people get married then? Honestly I'm just curious. |
