Saturday, June 07, 2008 5:32:19 PM I'm glad this was posted. It's much funnier to see photographs of these stores in the web than to live in a town where there are a lot of businesses with punny names (I don't mean just one or two but places where every other business on the main street sounds like a bad joke - I'm not naming names). My natural reaction in that second case has always been to wince and avoid taking my business to such places. I figure if they need to have a cutsey name then the service/products might not be so good and probably tourists will take care of business anyway. I also noticed that there were a lot of closed businesses in this post - probably because people in small towns think like I do? I don't know if that's true or even rational but that's always been my natural reaction, to wince and avoid. |

Saturday, June 07, 2008 3:10:02 AM That reminded me of an advertisement for a vacuum cleaner company that I saw a while ago: "Our business sucks but it's picking up" |
