Research some of Cobain's influences and you'll find a lot of music form the 70's punk scene that you've never heard of. Nirvana, not really a punk band but more of a post-punk band, paved the way for the brief popularity punk had out of the underground. Then, as always, corporate rock packaged it up and ruined it and now ewe have Blink 182 and other crap. Listen to In Utero, you'll see what I mean. |
