Friday, June 06, 2008 3:42:18 PM If I had my feet cutoff I would take advantage of the opportunity and sell myself to MIT and see if those wizards and turn me into a super awesome cyborg. If they wanted they could take my arms and change them out as well... |

Wednesday, May 21, 2008 2:35:01 PM I don't think parks should HAVE to make their rides safer, they should just have to pay this young girl's medical bills, physical therapy bills, tutoring for the loss of school, whatever lawsuit charges there are, and any other additional payments caused by her injury. Maybe then the parks will be persuaded to make the rides safer without being forced to. |

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 8:41:12 PM It's sad for sure, i remember hearing about this back right when it happened almost a year ago. i felt terrible for that girl, and i still do, but when i saw this video i kinda changed my mind. For sure it's a terrible thing for ANYONE, i cant even imagine. But that chick looks like someone who wouldnt give two hoots about anyone but herself till something like this happens to them. I dont want to judge a book by it's cover, but come on people! She TOTALLY does, u guys know the type! She's very pretty, and she'll meet some guy who doesnt care in the least about her missing feet. But i would bet money that she was a total b**** before this happened to her. |

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 5:39:12 PM --and they guy said "put the fear of god in them". i never got that, cause why would you fear god?-- Why'd he bring it up in the first place? I agree with the people who sympathize with her. The rest of you calling her a brat - yeah, say that to her face! See how you all would like it getting your feet chopped off on an amusement ride at the age of 13. You're all pathetic.
Only thing I didn't like about her was her being a tad over-dramatic and giving details on her pain. It's ALMOST like she was playing the pity card. But attention-wh**** is not the right way to put it. She *is* trying to help after all. Give her a break. |

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 3:55:38 PM I think its great she wants to help make parks safer but her pain cant be as bad as some of the guys coming back from Iraq who have lost limbs. |

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 3:47:53 PM I understand shes pissed, but my thing I have been on and off crutches and all that since 2nd grade. I still went to the mall with my friends and used my crutch. Your friends learn to adapt and walk slower and you build up endurance and upper body strength. She could have lost alot more than a foot/feet. She could have lost from the knee down. |

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 4:57:51 AM Good God, the ignorance!crux: Six Flags is at fault, and can be sued, but they are settleing out of court. To all you brats calling her a brat: I'd shut the hell up until something tragic happens to you. She lost an appendage, you'd be pissed too. Lastly, increased FEDERAL legislation is not going to help. When they finally get around to compiling the statistics, it will be around 90% riders at fault. If you jump from a moving vehicle (and living in Orlando, I know it happens all the time) don't expect to come out of it. The other 10% is tragic, but rare and I believe the states do a good job regulating the industry. Besides, if the amusement park industry was dangerous, you wouldn't come spend your money. |

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 12:51:10 AM "Anyone notice how there wasn't any info that she was suing? I don't think she is. Or has."You cant sue amusement parks, if anything goes wrong it was your decision not theirs. I think they are smarter then that. |

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 12:49:44 AM I cant believe some of you people!? Do you realise how horrifying it would be to have am amusement ride go wrong? And then to get seriously injured? I freak the hell out when im waiting in line to even get on one! (though I do love rides). Im pretty damn sure if your feet got chopped off you'd be complaining like a little schoolboybitch too. |

Monday, May 19, 2008 10:30:39 PM I've been to this park. I had a season pass there because I used to live in that town. She wasn't doing anything wrong. She had simply gotten onto the ride like an other regular person. My family knows the girl that sat next to her. As the ride was going up, one of the cables snapped-- went right through her feet. The best part? The ride had to come back down with her feet chopped off. Lovely picture isn't it? I couldn't blame her for being traumatized. I would be too.And the weirdest thing, I remember looking at the ride once while passing it and saying "I wonder, is it safe for the cables to be exposed like that?" My husband brushed it off saying "I Dunno." and I said "Well I guess it couldn't do to much damage if it snapped." yeah. right. |
