Wednesday, April 30, 2008 7:28:17 PM Grossen: There's only one place where lions and tigers both live in the wild, and then only just. It's a forest area in India and neither animal is common there. Lions and tigers do both live wild in India, but India is a big place. They rarely meet and are likely to fight or walk away when they do. There are local stories about massive cats in the area, though. They get builkier than that, too. They can run (very fast - longer legs), swim and all the rest of it. I'm sure they could hunt. I'm not sure that they could survive in the wild, though, because their food requirements are so much greater than that of a tiger or lion. They grow up to 12 feet long. Grab a tape measure and measure out 12 feet in your room, to get a good feel for it. It's a stunning size for a cat. Beautiful creatures. |

Wednesday, April 30, 2008 5:57:11 PM shagthefag; Zoids. I loved that show.I saw this video a while ago, but its still fascinating. I doubt that an animal as big as a liger can hunt properly, though. It's probably a good reason why we don't see them in the wild (now, before you get your panties in a knot, lions live in India too. And guess what else lives in India? TIGERS!). Unfortunately, there may be no real way to tell. I'm just gathering this from the lack of muscle on the liger as compared to the tiger next to it. It probably has a tough time moving around... |
