The guy has gots, if something that HUGE started to look annoyed, I don't think I could just pat it on the head with a "good boy" and go back to talking. I've seen pics of ligers before, but before that I thought they were just a made up animal name on Zoids. |

Oh, point of interest: The males are sterile, the females can breed. In both cases this is "usually", so it's conceiveable you could find a fertile male and female, but the odds are pretty slim. |

bah Baalthazag you beat me to it, i learnt about these whilst at college and yes they are sterile, mind you could you imagine if they could breed? o_O sabertooth's would be back! (well cats the size of them)they are gorgeous though massive beasts :) |

We have a small private zoo here in the mid-west that has a litter of Ligers every year. I have yet to see one grow to that enormous size. They do get larger than either parent, but not nearly as big as the one in the video. Must be a mutant. |

They *ARE* natural, they can occur in the wild, they just don't happen often because it's rare a lion and tiger would meet let alone mate. They don't thrive because like many other hybrids, they're mostly sterile. (Like Mules, another "unnatural" animal). They're perfectly capable otherwise. |
