Wednesday, June 24, 2009 8:45:02 PM If the guy in the video wasn't so shook up, it would bring to mind hilarious images of a delivery boy pulling a sawed-off shotgun out of the pizza box. |

Sunday, April 27, 2008 8:31:18 PM A few years ago in NY, people were robbing delivery drivers all the time, and YES, many were killed for no reason, other than perhaps the fact that they could identify the attackers. When someone pulls a gun on you, if your first response is "That gun is here for some purpose _other than_ to fire a chunk of lead at high speed through my body" then you are an IDIOT. The police don't go into potentially dangerous situations without at least two people, weapons, and radio backup. Delivery men go into these situations dozens of times a day with just a stupid hat. Thank God this guy is alive. If I were him, I wouldn't worry about the job that much, he's better off without it. I just hope his replacement doesn't get murdered for following "company policy". (I guess IAB was right, I DID get mad at this one, but mainly over the discussion, not the story.) |

Sunday, April 27, 2008 7:46:13 PM Well he should've been willing to lay down his life in the name of Pizza Hut. He deserves to be fired and jailed for that. How dare he try to defend himself? Stupid bastard.(Pizza Slut sucks) |

Friday, April 25, 2008 10:16:29 AM as far as gun laws go, I'm gonna have to quote charlton heston here and say they can, "pry my gun from my cold dead hands"firing him over violating that policy is perfectly justified. typically, carrying a gun like that just increases risks for yourself. He should've just coughed up whatever money he had and ran. The fact that he had a gun put him in more danger, and his employer can't support that. |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 9:37:40 PM He still had teh right to carry one. I suppose pizza hut needs to revise its policy, considering one of their employees nearly died. |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 6:23:39 PM "Er...could someone say what happened? My computer doesn't have sound.^^;"A young woman ordered a pizza. Her fiance waited for the pizza delivery guy in the lobby of their apartment building. When the delivery guy arrived, the fiance pulled a gun on him. The delivery guy pulled his own gun and shot the fiance several times. The fiance somehow survived. The police ruled the shooting justified self-defense. Pizza Hut suspended (and later fired) the delivery guy for violating corporate policy. The delivery guy was so shaken by the shooting incident that he couldn't talk to the reporter. |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 6:13:09 PM The Second Ammendment only guarantees the right to own a firearm, not to carry one. The right to carry is for the states to decide individually. |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 2:38:33 PM Okay, ive never been held at gunpoint, but I think the guy was taking the whole "feeel baaddd for meeeeee" thing a bit too far. I mean... he didn't get hurt did he? he didnt watch a loved one die, he didn't have to kill his own dog because it was infected with the virus. so wake up and get a real job. he kinda looked like he was around forty too... |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 12:58:15 PM There is a such thing as a 2nd Amendment, the right to bear arms. As far as I'm concerned the guy had the right to be carrying the gun and to use to in self defense.Oh, and what about the Supremacy Clause? "The Supremacy Clause establishes the Constitution, Federal Statutes, and U.S. treaties as "the supreme law of the land." The Constitution is the highest form of law in the American legal system. State judges are required to uphold it, even if state laws or constitutions conflict with it." Does that still apply with Corporate policies? |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 12:26:14 PM I've just had a proper read through this forum, it's fantastic! My favourite is Peanut X. He/she replied to a message from The Maddog (who states that he is from the UK, like myself) and claimed that the Brits killed 6 million Jews. I must have missed that part in history. What strikes me is that the majority of people who feel sorry for the pizza gut are from the US where it is common to own a gun. The majority of people against old pizza boy are from Countries that have stricter gun laws. This suggests that growing up in a cetain culture influences opinion. Does this mean there is no individual and unbiased thought, just a tendancy to so with what you know? |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 12:03:03 PM Thank you for your comment Victim. What made it such a worthwhile comment is how in-depth you go into explaining your opinion of me and of Europeans aged 30-39 in general.

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 4:36:52 AM Is it just me or is anyone else wondering why a delivery guy was carrying a gun? Not only should this prick be fired from his job, he should get locked up as well. And before all you Americans start harping on about how he would have been killed if he didn't have a gun himself, don't you think that lax gun laws in the US are causing situations like this? So you have the 'freedom' to buy a gun, it also means you have the freedom to kill each other. Still, the plus side is that it does strengthen the gene pool. |

Plenty of people have been robbed at gunpoint and not "needed time off.""Maybe the guy has never shot someone multiple times before. Killing somebody in self defense still feels like murder to non-sociopaths, retard. |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 12:35:50 AM also, check out crime rates for countries that restrict guns. No gun violence. There are, however, an inproportiante amount of stabbings. |

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 12:35:02 AM He is a hero! The kid tried to kill him. Doesn't matter if its a kid, a 40 year old moron, or a grandma, they have a dangerous weapon and are opening fire. The person who fired him deserves to be hung, then slowly tortured. The delivery guy deserves a permit to carry a bazooka. |

But it doesn't dawn on you until it's over that you've just sevearly hurt a kid. |

Tuesday, April 22, 2008 11:09:49 PM "What a good idea it is to sell guns to everyone. Seriously, America needs to either tighten up laws on guns, or just not make them something you can buy. You just don't get cases like this in England."Mall shooting in England 12 Y.O. girl killed by gun in England Man shot dead in Manchester, England Making guns illegal does absolutely no good. I think England makes the case quite well. |
