But I'm just letting you know, I don't feel like I'm doing gymnastics.For the record I'm not saying that I'm just gonna accept what people tell me and then say, "It's a matter of faith." I like to think for myself and find out as much as I can, but a part of it is acceptance that I don't know everything about God, I wasn't there at the beginning of eternity, I cannot possibly have God's perspective. There is a level of acceptance that I would need if I DIDN'T believe in God. After all, you can't understand everything about the Universe, either. |

It's not the most popular book of the bible, but it deals with this question. Basically, when Job questions God about what he has been put through, God replies, "Where were you at the beginning of eternity? Until you know a little more about being God, don't think you can possibly understand my motivations and tell me how to do my job." Probably not the most popular book in the bible. But the point is, how can you think God should or should not do?
It's fair enough that you don't believe in him. I respect that. |

Well apermal, there could be a god besides the one you believe in, in which case your still in deep poo, and god probably cares more about you being a good person in general than you believing in him for solely selfish reasons, like getting into heaven. |

Lololeela, its a logical point you've made, however it does pay to think about it in another way: who made God complicated? We did. Man tries so hard to rationalise God that all these paradoxical issues come up and we're never any closer because, well lets face it, if we could define God and make sense of Him, He wouldn't be God then, would He? Also, as for organised religion, while I'm Catholic, I believe I should let others believe what THEY want to believe. I think its better to believe and there NOT being a God at the end, than not to believe and there being a God, in which case I'm fu (ked.:) |

I honestly DO NOT see anything wrong with this, the racists, the "honest merit" people (classes, grades, pay your way, etc.), the relgious (unmarried sex for one) and those against a very loose definition of prostitution can argue. But they can go F themselves. Richer, more powerful people do this sort of thing ALL the time. Spitzer anyone? I think this guy is way way better than Spitzer since he is putting someone's child through school. I'm not sure if this is a college but I am assuming it is. The child is not involved sexually; basically its sex for a service there is no money involved. If This can count as Prostitution WHY IS DATING LEGAL? I think most dates are the moral equivalent of this anyways. The media has hit a new low with this I can't condemn the media enough. |

Calling what people choose to believe "retarded" is just not cool.Many different possibilities have been tried to answer this paradox; from the questioning of God's perception of time (ex. does God really have precognizance, or does he view time in a perpetual present), to our our simply not understanding His motivation, to almost everything in between. This debate about divine precognizance vs free will has existed for a loooong time, and I'm pretty sure all of the angles have been pretty well covered since the Nicene convention. "There is nothing new under the sun." |

Ah yes, hypoChristianity. Now I know that a good number of people will just bash the hell out of Christians, but come on people, we're all human. That goes for you too, Christians.
