THE JUMP IS REAL!! The car is fake. Kobe CAN jump over a car, but they aren't risking it. Trust me, to jump over that is not as hard as it looks. But they arent going to risk an injury. The jump is real, the car is added on. |

By the way, the shadow from the light post DOES pass in front of him. It's easier to see on the version with no text taking up the whole screen. |

I too thought it looked blue-screened, especially right before the car comes. It's hard to explain WHY it looks that way, but something just isn't quite right. |

It was actually done in front of a blue screen. If you look carefully you will see that the shadow of what appears to be a light post, does not cast on him when he walks in its path. His shadow is a slightly different shade than the other shadows. Also the car is sliding sideways a little. One last thing and this is only my thoughts but why would he have the camera on a tripod and not have one of his hangers on doing the filming. Other than that it makes me want to get a pair of those shoes so I can jump like Kobe. |

The car is coming in at an angle. Below are two frames superimposed. You can see that when the car gets to where he was standing, it lines up with your white line perfectly.Quite trying to fake Kobe faking!

OF COURSE IT WAS FAKE, you really think he'd jeoperdize that 18 million per year contract with that? It was a viral commercial for Nike, and a good one at that. Anyone who thinks it was real is just daft. My wife thought it was real by the way. |

okay.. im not gonna lie... its easy to tell he jumped next to the car.. but in reality he woulda cleared it anyway.. and only an idiot would actually do it.. and if i were him i wouldnt risk my entire career to sell some shoes.. so good job kobe.. you can do it.. smart job not standing in from of a speeding car when your job requires the use of your legs.. now just learn how to pass.. ha |
