Friday, April 11, 2008 7:31:14 AM They did that on TopGear... in that exact Jeep lookalike!!It works because pockets on the tyres scoop the water and throw it backwards. It actually weighs about 3 tonnes. |

Friday, April 11, 2008 2:19:21 AM It's hydroplaning (sp.) Because the wheels are so wide, and go so fast, they 'skate' along the top of the water, as loong as the car keeps moving in a forward motion, it'll stay afloat. Turning and slowing down is a little dangerous though! I saw these once, they do dune rally's in them, loads of horsepower, loads of speed, and actually surprisingly heavy, considering they go on top of waterr! |

Thursday, April 10, 2008 2:58:48 PM It's called "hydroplaning". Get your wheels moving fast enough in a regular car and you'll skip on the surface for a second or two. These vehicles are super high performance, though...I enjoyed it. |

Thursday, April 10, 2008 1:11:26 PM Man you people are diluted...this is a class V or VI mud bogger and yes they are capable of running on water due to paddle or scoop tires and turbo charged engines. Most of them run nitrous also which give them plenty of horsepower to skim across the water. |
