gakuzuki-I take all my notes on my laptop - I can record the lecture as well and re-listen to it later to catch the parts I did not understand fully, and as a result, I understand subject matter so much better this way. I surf the net at points because I have my own questions about the subject that I don't deem necessary pertinent for everyone else to consider, and once in a while I want to add an image to my notes so that I can visualize the topic better. Sometimes, I admit, the only way I can keep myself awake is if I take a glance at the headlines and engage in something momentarily interesting so I don't completely zone out on the lecture. I'm sorry if you find this annoying, but please understand that using a laptop in class may help some people learn more efficiently. I believe that using my laptop in class is the sole reason my gpa went from a 3.2 to a 3.8. |

I don't blame the professor. I've got a couple kids like that in some of my classes. The kids will get kicked out, but they're always back doing the same thing next class. You can tell by the class reaction and how the prof. looks embarrassed that he wasn't an angry man. He was just pushed too far by some punk mooching public education. |
