They do have pro-wrestling academies. I live in Ireland with a mere population of under 5 million (I think) and there's at least 3 pro-wrestling academies in Dublin alone.So imagine how many there are in Australia! |

This is awesome. Heaven forbid people start letting boys be boys and fight without involving lawyers. I was brought up boxing and have had my ass handed to me my fair share of times. But getting beat up teaches humility, how to take a beating like a man ,and to stand your ground. No crying, no running to mom to make it better. Fighting more than anything taught me to never back down. Those lessons are extremely valuable in life. |

I agree with VONLINE, my Ju Jutsu club in college have us train and fight in MMA and you'd never meet a bigger group of gentlemen. We're trained to beat someone up if we have to, but we never start fights. I like to think of myself as one of those people who wouldn't harm a fly but when it comes to getting on the mat... :D |

I took Judo and Tae Kwon Do classes when I was little and one thing most martial arts classes have in common is they teach discipline. I would bet these kids are LESS likely to start a fight than other kids. |

"I can hit someone without getting in trouble"...not one of them said, "It's good exercise!" or anything like that. It's pure and simple aggression. The kid is getting choked out. The kid on the bottoms right arm is brought across the artery in his throat and pushed down, stopping the blood flow to the brain. The kid on top uses his arm to wrap around and cuts of the blood from the other side. He will either tapout or passout. Textbook ju-jitsu. I bet that kid could choke you out |

For everyone saying that this is gay or whatever doesn't know crap about the sport. Those kids are learning skills that few people possess. Do you know how much discipline and control you have to have to compete in this sport? What you just seen some of those kids doing would have you crying if someone did it to you. I will say though that there should be an age limit to compete full contact, but not to train. Also, the guy did seem pretty creepish.

Children like adults are less likely to get hurt in this sport compared to others like American rules football, or Skiing, or skateboarding, or bicycling. People neeed to lighten up and let the kids play, they are wearing protective gear. Still it is a bit redneck, but this style is close to the one that our own President Lincoln grew up using and fighting in Illinois. Lincoln from the time he was young trained in an native american style of wrestling that combined fighting with grappling, very popular among the kids of the early nineteenth century, Lincoln was no slouch. |
