IceCream...i was just saying that it's closed minded to automatically jump to the conclusion that you dislike a band just because they dont sound like the music you're used to, especially when disregarding the poetry of the lyrics....you obviously misunderstood me. And i never said that liking modest mouse makes me open-minded...so read a bit more carefully next time, eh? |

Man, modest mouse is awesome. And this is not one of their best in my opinion. Check out missed the boat or the world at large, spitting venom is pretty good too. |

i have to say the animation didnt impress me that much (artsy and well-done, but not really a great music video.) i cant believe people are saying that modest mouse sucks though! i mean, saying, oh, thats not my style, ok, i can see that. but to say they suck? and also, just because a band takes repeated listens to enjoy doesnt make it bad-- sometimes music is complex and you need to hear it a few times to understand where it is going. think about it-- why does almost everyone like classic rock? because we have heard the songs SOOO many times and we understand them and have grown attached to them. most songs are not favorites the first time you hear them |
