Wednesday, March 19, 2008 1:25:58 AM The guy with the tie is the ref as he is the one calling the points, he called for the fight to cease and the competitors to return to their starting positions so he could award the "white guy" a point (looks like it was for the hookshot to the head) and the "white guy" got all smart ass about it. The black suit guy was in the wrong however though as he didnt have much defence/ control which results in warnings (the crossed hands at start of video). The ref did what he thought he had to, to make sure things didnt get out of control. However he did take it too far as throwing him down would have sufficed. |

Friday, March 14, 2008 7:24:57 AM That was a karate-do sparring match but I don't understand why the ref was allowing them to punch to the face. The guy in the blue was swing-punching to the face and I bet the ref had enough of that guy's antics. That was not shot in the U.S. or Japan (even though the ref was using Japanese words like "jyogai, wazari, etc.). |

Thursday, March 13, 2008 7:57:14 PM Btw, It's the second time I see WhatInThe42o say the same thing about Tonyjet... I know you're not supposed to feed the troll but I have leftovers that I could send his way. Would be a shame to let this go to waste. |

Thursday, March 13, 2008 7:24:14 PM The guy in Blue was a disgrace. Fighting your opponent while he got the light in his face and is probably blinded by it is unfair.Trying to attack someone while he got his back turned is the most disgraceful thing you can do in karate. Also, he was fighting like a douche. |

Thursday, March 13, 2008 3:26:03 AM You can see at 2:37 the ref calls for the end of the round, but the blue guy doesn't stop. And then when the guy in white turns his back the blue guy takes another swing, which is why the ref stepped in. |

Wednesday, March 12, 2008 10:48:03 PM Hey, I never said that the actual events were amusing; the ref was completely out of line and will no doubt be fired, if not imprisoned. I just thought it was funny to see all of this "karate skill" being displayed, and then the apparent "highly skilled black-belt" gets downed by a sucker punch of all things. My point was that just because you have a high belt-ranking, you're not necessarily as untouchable and invincible as you're sometimes made out to be. |

Wednesday, March 12, 2008 7:54:37 PM Regardless of the story behind it, I thought that it was hilarious how this guy (supposedly skilled, judging by belt color) get dropped in a couple of seconds by the ref of all people. Just goes to show that a black belt isn't everything. |
