Iroj = amazing.mrpopenfresh, at the gay bar I go to, the straight women there are generally very feminine and outgoing, and are there merely to enjoy the music and have a good time with friends. Plenty of straight guys come to the club too, and most of the straight women aren't at all bothered by it in one way or the other. The one I go to is a little different though, because it's only a gay bar on Friday nights. I love it though. So much fun. |

Is it not possible that usually women aren't homophobic..will befriend lovely people of either sex..don't care who screws who..and can have wonderful friendships with gay men?
My life has certainly been enriched by keeping an open mind..and heart...Hey that's fine. I have alot of gay friends and my girlfriend has even more (she used to be a competitive gymnast). However, I've been to gay bars and what I said was from experience, so there isn't any guessing. |

For you nemo. Basically it was one of those terms gays kinda latched onto and turned to our own, but was originally a negative slang term.That said, in my town the gay club is one of the best clubs (music wise) in town. So you have a large mix of straight and gay running around in it during the weekend. Makes it really confusing some times. o.0 |

hahhaa so funny, but not so true, I once went to a gay bar and I'm a straight girl, I was looking for a cute guy that would stop being gay because he fall madly in love with me, but all I got was guys looking at my and my friends as in a "get out of here" kinda way, was very dissapointing...
such cute guys wasted :( |

Where do people get the name f*g hag anyway? My girl friends aren't the least bit "hag"gy at all, it gives the improper image that if a girl has guy friends that are all gay, then she must not be attractive.I prefer the term fruit fairy. It's cute, nice, and it gives a somewhat youthful image. |

I don't know what you people are talking about. It's incredibly easy to pick up girls in gay bars as long as your'e not a total prick. There's basically two types of girls who go to gay bars. The first type are girls who are tired of ultramasculine jocks who keep looking down their shirt. If youre kinda metrosexual and not much of a dick, then you can hit it. The second type of girls is shy, introverted and has low self esteem. She's basically a fag hag. You can hit it without even trying. |

I loathe straight bars (even though I am a straight girl). I hate it that when I go to straight bars I have to dress like a 1500's nun in order to not get pawed at by 100 drunk blokes; I hate it that if I even so much as look at a man in a straight bar he gets the idea that I want to get my freak on with him.I love gay bars because I can wear my cutest outfits and look my best and actually dance without having a half-erect penis trying to grind on my backside (only to turn around and see its owner is Mr. TwiceMyAge SloppyDrunk) and getting fresh with me. I love the fact I can dance with very beautiful, shirtless men and know they aren't expecting anything in return. I can get nice and tipsy without worrying about someone trying to take advantage of me. I live(d) with several gay men; I prefer their company and their bars are usually 95% cleaner than any straight bar I've ever been in. Not to mention the dance floors are better, the light shows are better and the music doesn't suck |

I know of a few bars where everyone brings their hag. Even my straight friends will occasionally tag along.I guess it's all about location. :) |
