843. I had it checked by a certified personal trainer at the gym where I work now. He used skinfold method on stomach, tricep, and thigh with 2 samples averaged. I had another one done about 6 months ago, and it was 8.5%, so I think it's fairly consistent. I just blame it on my body type. Some guys have trouble getting their chest to stand out, no matter how much they lift, for example. |

To get "cut" abs, you need to do lots of cardio to work off the belly fat, not crunches.Anywayyyyyy

TeHrussian, maybe you miscalculated your body fat percentage? Mine was around 10% last time I checked. I can see the top abs but not the lower ones, pretty normal I guess.
If yours are 8% or lower, and your abs are strong, no doubt they would be pretty obvious. Even skinny guys with such low body fats have abs, even though their abs are weak. |

843. Yeah, that's what I've been doing lately 20-30 reps to a set, cable pulldowns, obliques, alternating torso twists with a medicine ball and side bridges. No noticable improvement in appearance, even though strength went up quite a bit.The hundreds of crunches are from my Marine times. They didn't really care about "proper" excercise, more on the quantity... |
