kairobert, capitalism is the sh*t. And a simple way to get around this is through capitalism. AT&T wont, SupraTelecom Will. If you dont like the private internet, switch to a company that will not offer that (and if all companies switch they might get sued for corporate collaboration).And this has been going on for years. Its not going to happen, its only a dream for the phone companies, whats wrong with dreaming? As long as they make the nice commercials they make AT&T can dream all it wants. Internet neutrality is blown out of proportion. |

never gonna work out unless they get government support. we have the technology to create our own network, just like we have now in case anyone tried to take over the internet. i just dont see it happening. |

It's true. Any company who tries this will probably go bankrupt. People will either change their ISP, get a good ISP, one that isn't advertised on tv such as t1, or go over seas to get teh internetz. |

How does a country plan on taking over millions upon millions of servers's data from every country on Earth?A phone company can build a "Second internet" as such - thats perfectly possible... But they can't say we have to swap from the one we already have. |
