Frightening turn of events. Though I'm not surprised.
Radio and TV monopoly has been implimented before, so why not the net?
Every kind of expression, bar face to face communication, can be "guided", can be steered and controlled. Big brother?
I don't buy the whole conspiracy thing, though I do believe if someone can make a buck from controlling something, they will.

Geez I hope this doesn't happen. But if you think about all the people against it, plus the fight for internet power between different companies in different countries, it seems doubtful that this would happen. However you never know... |
