Saturday, March 08, 2008 8:36:19 AM I live in the same town as this lady, and she is a very sweet lady who is very well liked in the community. Yeah, she's different. But she doesn't ask that anything be changed for her, she can do damn near anything the rest of us can. Her babies are well cared for and they do it without special treatment. If you want to be mad about someone having kids, why don't you focus on the crack whores that have 10 kids just to end up throwing them in the state system, assuming they live long enough. Stacy has a husband that loves her and obviously has no problem with her condition. Most of you should be so lucky. Get off your high horse and have a little F*%$ing compassion! |

Friday, March 07, 2008 4:14:20 AM "If the baby grows up to be a midget, then he/she (did they mention the gender? I forget.) will be mocked by his/her peers and maybe even severely harrassed. I'm 14 years old, and 4ft 6in (NOT A DWARF OR MIDGET), and people often teased me in elementary and middle school because of my height."So do you think you or that baby would be better off not existing? Yeah. Life sucks, it's painful, and pointless. I wouldn't commit suicide or anything drastic like that, though. Life isn't THAT bad. But definitely sucks, especially if you have a disorder of some sort, or basically anything that makes you stand out from others. |

Thursday, March 06, 2008 3:18:32 PM Some of you people are absolutely sickening. I could not believe some of the comments I read. It seems like I am one of the minority in seeing what this little lady has done as admirable. She's done the impossible, and is so brave. She hasn't laid back and accepted that Drs told her she shouldn't have babies, and probably couldn't. She went had didn't just have one, but two! I would give anything to be as brave as she was. She is a true role model. And why is her husband a pervert for falling in love with her? Looks aren't anything, but boy does her personality make up for anything shes missing in height and looks. Her laugh cheered me up so much. It's wonderful. Why can't people looks on the positive side of things? They're a happily married couple, who had kids. Yes the mothers short, but would a couple who had kids, who were both normal height get this reaction? No. It's despicable. Absolutely vile how shallow people here are. |

Thursday, March 06, 2008 1:02:57 PM That is pretty amazing. And I am not trying to be offensive or anything, but I think it is pretty creepy that any fully sized person would fornicate with her. Or any dwarf. |

Thursday, March 06, 2008 12:23:18 PM Good god, what's wrong with you people? It's just incredible what you say and do on here... I am disgusted. These people are PROOF that you aren't doomed by a disability. A man is good enough to marry her because they are in love, regardless of anything else, and you call him a PERVERT? Shame on you. |

Thursday, March 06, 2008 4:15:03 AM meant to say..my comments were more about the idiotic comments on here..rather than the should she have had the baby debate, nothing is black or white..but different shades of grey |

Thursday, March 06, 2008 4:13:08 AM musemike...i did not say either of the things you seem to think i did :). other people have done. but i was not going that far into the debate as i said i dont think what she did was right...but i dont think it was wrong either. i never even mentioned abortion at all, and im not against it, it does however need to be used for the right reasons..and thats a whole different debate.... |

Thursday, March 06, 2008 12:19:19 AM im not trying to be insensitive or anything but that was a stupid thing for the mother to do. its quite selfish actually. (she wants the joy of a child, and then risks to deprave her husband and children of "wifehood" and motherhood). and to even go for a third one?! wtf woman?! im not trying to take your happiness away, but you are risking your life and the normality of your own children. dont be a fool. adopt |

Wednesday, March 05, 2008 11:13:35 PM fluffyhoob: Firstly you say that people without disabities can have complications when pregnant too...yes no one denies this and there is nothing we can do to predict it, but the chance of this particular child growing up to be 100% healthy is next to nothing, if not nothing. Chances are the child had a lack of oxygen, due to lack of blood, during pregnancy which will most likely have caused brain damage. Secondly you claim that those saying she should rather have had an abortion are being insensitive. Did you not stop to think that we are possibly being sensitive towards the wellbeing of the child rather than the womans desire to have a child. With all the things that could have gone wrong you can't deny that there isnt a significant chance that the child could have suffered/will suffer. |

Wednesday, March 05, 2008 3:57:15 PM got cut off lol.....also i think comments shunning the negative commetns are mostly from women because as a general rule of thumb..women are much more sensitve. if you would like to take that as a sexist attack so be it, buts it true (and i think most men would agree lol). |

Wednesday, March 05, 2008 3:55:24 PM i find it funny how people always put their own feelings on someone else. the example in this case being things like 'if this was me id go with adoption' and 'another person destined for therapy in 20 years' has it occured to these people that these disabled people are not them? and therefore see the world completely differently? dont forget this lady had this condition from birth herself. she may or may not have had therapy..but if she did it seemed to work. it wasn;t like she was 'normal' and then suddenly became disabled...in my experience thats when people with disabilites need therapy...not so much if they are born with something. im not saying what she did was right, im not saying it was wrong either. i have been outraged at people for getting pregnant (for example people who pop out kids purely to live on benefits)..but i admire this lady for how she is coping with life.also i think comments shunning the negative comments are mostly from women because as a general rule |
