Tuesday, March 04, 2008 11:25:00 AM In regards to the video...people who are willing to do corny choreographed dances probably shouldn't even be in prison. In regards to the cute little comments on rap... its a cop out. If you don't like certain people for whatever reason then man up (or woman up) and say so. Its such a bitch move to do otherwise. Don't hide behind trying to invalidate an enitre genre of music. And since the majority of the population only listens to rap that is played on the radio, I'm sure all this talk of lyrics and 'real music' is based on something that represents only the commercial side of the genre. Its like listening to Avril Lavigne and then saying rock sucks. These are simples deductions that even the stupidest peon could make... but you choose not because its easier to viel your disdain than just come right out and say what you want. have fun wallowing in your ignorance. |

Monday, March 03, 2008 9:10:23 PM The lyrics to rap is horrible as well. Some pieces of rap are actually inspiring, and I respect those artists. But, you know, calling yourself a "nig&er" won't help you as an artist, right? Nope, as long as that you're black and can just say words to a booming, annoying bass beat in the background. Then sprinkle in some profanity that involves women, and you're half done! All you have to do is find some white out, put it on your sunglasses, get some "bling", and you're done. Congrats on being one of the worst artists in the world. My favorite "modern" music? "What I've Done" by Linkin Park. Fantastic. Just fantastic. I love the music video too. Breathtaking. Okay, I'm done. ... Toodles. ... |

Monday, March 03, 2008 9:05:19 PM Yay, time to join the big debate on whether or not rap is good or not. I have lots to say, so read up! ^^First of all, primetimekin, I didn't know rappers deserved to be called their own race. I would've just called of them "Stupid-arrogant-no-talent-idiots-that-make-undeserving-amounts-of-money-and-apparently-can't-spell." Whew, what a mouthful to say. Look, everywhere you see, there are always youth influenced negatively by rap artists. I'm surrounded by them. I ask them what is good about rap, they just say "get a life." Oh, real mature. I have never seen a rap artist donate money to a charity, a good cause. Fact is, their all just money-sniffing idiots. Rappers like 50 cent, or even hip-hop artists like Akon rely heavily on the use of women in their music videos. Shouldn't music just be music, not about women? Hell, go watch some porn, or get laid. Then again, I can't get laid yet. *sigh* |

Sunday, March 02, 2008 8:47:19 AM ya doing whatever you need to survive like and no snitching you are allowing this world to collapse on itself. Letting people commit crimes and such murders? Rapes? Theft? it ruins peoples lives and you let it happen by keeping youre mouth shut. If someone does something that has a negative effect on another. Turn them in it offers soem closure to the victim and keeps them from commiting another crime, or atleast for a long time/ |

Saturday, March 01, 2008 11:26:11 AM 1) I do hate Disney, it should be abolished 2) Anyone can say something deep and just make it rhyme at the end. Abortion is wrong, you are murdering babies Young minors have sex, whats with society lately? homeless are nostalgic about the last meal that they ate Young kids are now raised to be enamored with hate Took me 2.5 secondscoming up with something creative is much harder. If you look at the artist whose main songs are just creative with no meaning, they are able to create more meaningful songs than other artist. Look at lil Wayne's Hustlers Musik or T.I.'s live in the sky. they are just not at the level of other rap artist. |

Saturday, March 01, 2008 10:27:46 AM primetimekin, i'm not talking about the rhyming scheme or the poetic devices he's using. i'm talking about the meaning behind the lyrics. not that someone raised on the disney channel like the rest of today's youth would understand anything like that. i say anyone between 3 and 18 should be gotten rid of and we should just start over. that generation is a lost cause. who's with me? |

Saturday, March 01, 2008 6:59:18 AM Red5TheFinn, thug life is the biggest misconception america has. your talking about a criminal, that not thug life. You need to start listening to tupac and get a better understanding of what thug life is. Its basically 1) Doing what it takes to survive, no matter what your situation is. 2) Loyal to friends no matter what. That includes ride or die and no snitching 3) Never pu$$y out. Thats basically thug life.Quit being rapper racist |

Friday, February 29, 2008 8:04:20 PM Eh. Not so much of modern rock. Or modern rap, for that matter. If you want to go into how interpretive a musical piece is, check up on classical. |

Friday, February 29, 2008 7:07:34 PM i can dig all that, I guess im just saying the point of "art" is interpretation. Those who like it can like it, and no one should be told what they like isnt the correct thing to enjoy, and in terms of lyrics, i think that they are made to be related to, thus one man loves modest mouse, and finds great meaning, because he relates, it is the same with rap. In terms of simplicity, the song "nobody but you" is becoming popular, and its utterly simple, but i think its nice. Soulja boy may be very simple, but others find it nice. |

Friday, February 29, 2008 5:10:03 PM Rap != music, rap = poetry reading with a beat behind it, and a poetry reading populated by juvenile and immoral idiots at that. There, debate over. |

Friday, February 29, 2008 4:26:32 PM Red5TheFinn. 50 Cent is overated, he doesn't have a good song since 'Get rich or die trying'and D_Fishbait. The lyrics are too simple. Every line ends in one syllable. No creativity. Clever is what matters. Deep would be the same as emo music. and those same that you claim aren't deep have the ability to be deeper than your artist. "See i'll be ridin just, Ridin alone Wit my daddy on my mind like u gotta be kiddin How da hell u ain't here 2 see ya prince do his thing Sometimes i wanna drop a tear but no emotions from a king " Thats from the same artist that says "I see beef as dead meat" "I came as a call I came as flat I came too soon so I came back" I am on IAB I am typing I do the right thing, Like Spike Lee No creativity. Boring. It sounds like he did that in a sec. And Soulja Boy isn't really rap, its crank dat. Its not about the lyrics its the dance, he is a decent choreographer. And I guess my meani |
