And I agree with Pabasa totally.btw you guys need to see the full video...and it has audio in it too...that school gal was just being a bitch. And the video here is edited. The drivers daughter attacked the bitch only after the bitch first attacked her mom...imagine yourself in the daughters situation...your juvenile delinquent of a classmate attacks your mom...how the fcuk would you react? Things do get harder when you get older, but in different ways... for example you may have to worry about bills but you dont have to worry about a final exam you have to study for.

"driver can be sued for wrongful imprisonment..."it is actually the other way around, bus driver can be sued for dropping off a children at somewhere else than school or scheduled stop. especially if the parent calls for a missing child who was dropped off at a friends house unknowingly. |

I don't see how talking on a cell phone could be so distracting. When you become a bus driver, you have to know in advance that there will be talking, and how can talking on a phone be any different? |

Uhm, all the girl had to do was talk lower, and the bus dtriver shouldn't have touched her. You shouldn't have fights on the bus, and the bus driver obviously didn't care that her daughter hit the girl.AND WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE JUST WATCHING? |

Talking on cell phones on the bus may be against the rules anyway(it was here anyway). And just because school buses are loud doesn't mean they have to be loud. I couldn't understand it when I was in school either, can't people just talk quietly or read? All my bus drivers would freak when people got loud. |

The girl shouldn't be using the phone if it does distract the driver.
But the driver should have let the girl off the bus. In all fairness if I wanted to get off the bus and I wasn't allowed to I'd go mad, claustrophobic tendencies.

Eh, cell phones can be distracting. When I took a greyhound bus recently the driver turned, at every station and told us that "this bus is like a phone booth. Not everyone is interested in your Aunt Gladys' kidney infection. Keep it down. If I can hear you, you're too loud. Thanks." The driver shouldn't have tried to restrain the girl, but the girl shouldn't have tried to leave. One of my relatives is a bus driver and I can tell you confidently that IT IS TYPICALLY AGAINST SCHOOL POLICY TO LET A CHILD LEAVE THE BUS UNTIL THEIR SCHEDULED STOP, DUE TO LIABILITY REASONS. Call it a "nanny state" if you want, but I blame it on hospital chasing tort lawyers. I would never be a bus driver in 100 years, especially in my hometown in Western NY. Crazy road conditions, bratty kids. . .it gives me an ulcer just thinking about it. Sometimes, the safety of the bus has to come first. Deal. |
