Sunday, February 10, 2008 8:44:55 PM I need to see that film. Also, if you enjoy documentary films, I strongly recommend "F*UCK" Yes, it is about censorship and opinions about the "most offensive word in the English language." Rent it, and pass it on. |

Saturday, February 09, 2008 3:06:05 PM "I'm sorely tempted to join an MMORPG, but I'm afraid if I did I'd never leave the house."Me too! The graphics on WoW loom pretty awesome. Still, i know a guy who played on it so obsessivly he now only communicates with his friends via the internet. He never goes out, plus he lost his girlfriend because he cared more about playing on it than spending time with her. I can see how easy it is to become addicted though. Too competetive; there's always gonna be someone a higher level than you. *shrugs* |

Friday, February 08, 2008 7:45:48 PM Mmhmm. Hold on...hold on...*picks up WoW 10 Day Free Trial Disk On Desk*...Yeah, it ain't gonna happen. Seriously, how come Warcraft in general can't hold my attention? The first Warcraft game I played was Warcraft III and I lost interest when I got to Gaia. Maybe it was just the fact that I spent a huge amount of time starting and restarting that stupid *GATHER MORE WOOD* quest. Oh, not to mention the stupid RPG elements. Seriously, Warcraft could be better if it weren't for the leveling up character bit. RTS != RPG, two different spectrums people! Yes, RPGs have strategy but RTS shouldn't have RPGs, catch the drift? Like "All RPGs are RTSs but no RTS is an RPG" sorta deal...IMHO |

Friday, February 08, 2008 5:47:36 PM Was one of the words that flashed across the screen at the end "grinding"? All on an MMROPG? HUH? |

Friday, February 08, 2008 3:49:44 PM WoW isn't that interesting to me, I don't get how people can play it for hours and hours. I did a little trial of it that my sis got from her boyfriend, I killed a crap load of wolves, talked to midgets and then I got bored and imitated a train. |

Friday, February 08, 2008 2:55:53 PM I would SO watch that. I wish they would try to put in FPS games like Halo 3. I used to play Halo 3 nine hours a day, but I stopped. I've been sober for a long time. |

Friday, February 08, 2008 12:27:50 PM IkeRay: introduce kids to guns and lots of blood, or introduce them to spell casting and fighting imaginary beasts? i think the latter would spark some major imagination in kids.Im eleven and i have played fps since i could pick up a controller, and it has only affected me in a couple ways, it has increased my intelligence, how alert i am and my finger dexterity, it hasnt turned me into a terrorist or a gun crazed maniac. Sure maybe i will buy a gun someday but not to rampage small towns. |

Friday, February 08, 2008 11:49:23 AM cashcleaner....the guy said he has twins on the way...im pretty sure he has had sex.im a WoW'er but not that hardcore. ive played one or 2 times for 14-16 hours in a row, but it gets tiresome and burns you out. addictions are people with weak wills, which allows you to give into yourself and say, "ok just one more time." its the same as smoking cigarettes, they arent that addicting to me, i can smoke a pack a day for a week, and not smoke one for a year. weak will power ftl. i find having people addicted to a fantasy world is a lot better than being addicted to a more real game (like counterstrike). introduce kids to guns and lots of blood, or introduce them to spell casting and fighting imaginary beasts? i think the latter would spark some major imagination in kids. |

Friday, February 08, 2008 10:50:29 AM I used to play WoW, but I quit because it got too boring. I played pretty casually, so while I used to raid hardcore during BWL-->Naxx days, I didn't have a strong connection to the game, but to my guild. My BF, on the other hand, had the mentality that I think is what gets a lot of people addicted: he NEEDED to be the best. He had to quit because it was taking over his life, and he still thinks about going back. We play free MMORPGs now that are too crappy to get addicted to. This was a very interesting video, by the way, and very well done. |
