First, it is perfectly legal to kill in self defense.Second, you're to saying that he should just stand by and do nearly nothing upon seeing his son being abused in such a horrible a manner. He didn't intend to kill, there were mitigating circumstances and he was a boxer. When you've learned something like that it's all about reflexes without thought. Furthermore, as said before, it's very easy to accidentally kill. Honestly, even a broken nose can kill you. You haven't made a point, just proven you should never be allowed to mate. |

If it was self-defense it would be okay - I don't know what it's called when it's defense of someone else but I can't imagine that it's legal to kill someone to stop them raping you but it's not legal to kill someone to stop them raping your 8-year old. |

I don't think most people realize how easy it is to kill someone accidently. You see people getting punched in the head all the time on TV, so you think it works that way in real life. But two or three good blows to the head can easily kill someone.1. The guy was a professional boxer. He knew how to punch effectivly.
2. He was full of adrenaline from rage, fear, and surprise. He probably didn't realize that he was hitting much harder than he normally punches. It would be a poor father who wouldn't defend his son. |

well, if not death by the boxers hands then certainly by the hands of any inmate in whatever prison the pedo would end up in.
even serial killers and rapists hate child molesters, and the latter ones are the first to get it in jail.RESPECT TO THE BOXER, he made an example for other to follow...and you can bet your life on that i would do (and will if it ever happens) the very same thing!!! |

I can't defend the rights of a pedophile. They can't be rehabilitated, and will continue to have certain urges to harm children. Even if he had survived, I think he should've gotten the maximum amount of jail time. I hope the kid's ok. I mean, first he gets raped, and then he sees his step dad punch a man to death. |

I would go into blind rage too if I saw that happen to my son. I think his reaction was pretty normal. I have no sympathy for a child rapist, they're scum of the earth! I wouldn't have actually killed him myself but beat him to where he would be near death and in a lot of pain. Death was too easy of a punishment, he should have been made to go to prison for the rest of his life! He would have known what it feels like to be raped in no time  |

Now, if someone breaks into your home and in the course of defending your family and property you accidentally injure/kill them, there are little or no charges to be brought against you. |

No, you are quite right, it doesn't mean that BECAUSE he's a boxer - I think ANYBODY should have the right to kill in this circumstance, and I think most people would do so. You are right only in as much as the reason he had that right was down to his being human, not to being a boxer. |
