I do, however, agree with your pro-Johnny 5 stance.

I agree, again, with notsoevil.

Lionhart2, you don't know what you're talking about. I mean, GW is NOT a redneck, that's a carefully constructed image made by a lot of smart marketing people.

Also, the democratic party will, unless they somehow screw it up (which is not out of the realm of possibility), get the presidency next term. Right now it's between Senator Obama (an African American) and Hillary Clinton, a woman. I'm surprised you didn't know that. News must travel slowly to whichever sandy corner of Australia you're from.

A.) Lion has a highly developed sense of united state politics and an in depth understanding of the in state political players.
B.)Lion wants to preach to a largely teenage audience without making any rational point.

Doesn't really matter either way as opinions like that are the only vote I, lion, or anyone else not in Novicks can really make in the context of this thread.

He has a hook! He can open beers with it. He's got my vote, and my campaign donation! And, as soon as science figures out how, he can have my babies!

...let's face it: in the REAL world we live in, any party could drag out a redneck, ku-klux-klanner or child molester at this stage, and as long as he was male, white and had all his bits, he'd become the new President of the US.

Don't believe me? How did GWB Jnr get there then?

I think its pathetic, he is playing on his handicap not only to make him noticeable, but also making a joke about it. Its discriminatory and insulting to any disabled person. The impartial question you have to ask is "If he didn't have a disability which he shows at every opportunity, would I even know about him in the first place?" and the obvious answer with Novick is "No". He's done nothing to make himself an obvious choice for government other than wave his hook around saying "Look at me I'm different". Impartiality is an ideal, but we humans seldom live up to our beliefs ("The good that I should do, I don't do; and that which I shouldn't do, that's what I do - Peter), so even though none of us would ever admit to "Bias" being the reason we voted the way we did, the fact is that the US will never have a disabled, woman or black President... er... that is, except in the unlikely event that all 3 candidates fell into one of those categorie

KoalaMeatPie, while I appreciate that you're name also comes from the creative culinary use of zoo animals, your posts are strange.

1) Your icon says you're Canadian. Why can't you stand behind Senator Novick's pro-beer stance? I mean, I know they didn't mention maple syrup or hockey, but it was still interesting.
2) He's having a beer in the commercial, not soap boxing. Do you expect everyone at a bar to grandstand when they're talking to someone? You must be INTENSE to hang out with.
3) The point of the commercial was "Steve Novack gets things done." So he's handicapped, so what? Lots of people are afraid of the handicapped, but he's not ashamed of it. He's cool.
3) There have been waaaay more pathetic and pandering commercials than this out there over the years.

Besides, you have too many faces and charisma and not enough ideas, you get Mussolini and Fascism.

Haha a politician with a sense of humor.. I love it. I'd vote for 'im.
And Koala, please.. leave the whole hillary vs Obama debate out of this. Its about Novick and his commercials, not who's currently running. There's enough of that slander out there right now.

well, if the terminator can be a governor, then a bottle opener can certainly be president.
