The answers to some of these are wrong. The coin/dice one comes to mind. BTW there is not really a cure for eating cyanide cuz it acts too quickly. I hate these stupid smug quiz guys. |

GZas: don't feel bad - when the problem (and solution) gained widespread attention, hundreds of mathematicians and scientists wrote in to say that it was incorrect (but it wasn't). It's called the Monty Hall problem, and you can look it up at wikipedia. But the short solution is: Whichever door you picked has a 1/3 chance of having the prize, which means there is a 2/3 chance of the prize being behind one of the other doors. The host reveals an empty door. The door you originally picked still has a 1/3 chance and the other unopened door has a 2/3 chance, so you are twice as likely to win if you switch. |

GZas its not a real show... It's a hypothetical probability question known as the Monty Hall problem. There are tons of sites all over the web that can give you a much more detailed explanation.Ruswat: tails 5 times in a row is 1/32 not 1/64. |
