Wednesday, January 23, 2008 3:26:46 PM This comp looks pointless. I see them breaking constantly. If I traveled alot, I would never carry something like this with me, it'd probably get messed up in the airport. I dislike macs, I find them much less reliable than pcs, an I hate ipods. Every person I know has problems with theirs, and two of my friends have already had to return them for new ones after having them for less than a year. And Apple customer service sucks. |

Tuesday, January 22, 2008 11:44:05 AM macbook air, for people who just want something that's super portable, packs a punch and doesn't quit on u, plain and simple... it's not for everyone, like me for example i wouldn't need such a machine but that doesn't mean i can't appreciate it for what it is, you people should try OBJECTIVE thinking it's a really nice approach to life... Friday, January 18, 2008 9:59:00 PM When I worked at Apple we had a joke... its based on the old Ford commercial "quality is job one"At Apple Quality is Job 1.1.1 The point is that you should never buy an Apple 1.0 product. Their rev A's almost always have problems. But by rev C, they are the best machines on the planet. Comparison/contrast with Micro$oft where Quality is job 3, service pack 2 |

Friday, January 18, 2008 8:51:34 PM "Okay, how many of you idiots actually OWN iPods?"I own an iRiver H10 20gb. At the time it went on the market, It was selling at the same price as an iPod. But, the iPod lacked these features: Colour Screen Intergrated mic FM Radio Fm radio Recorder Image vieewer Of course, you could Buy a Radio tuner for your iPod for an extra 70$ (CND) or a Mic, nothing came intergrated. |

Friday, January 18, 2008 7:20:27 PM I'm not anti-mac. In fact, I think they have some really cool, innovative products. However, this is just ridiculous. |

Friday, January 18, 2008 6:03:12 PM Oh, and i don't abse the fact that it is a POS base don the link, The links support my argument that it is A POS.I seriously wait in anticipation for release of the product to the general public where we'll get to see all those little hidden surprises which I love to hear about. http://consumerist.com/ |

Friday, January 18, 2008 5:16:28 PM I dislike Macs based on a combination of the people who use them and the machines themselves. My graphic arts teacher uses macs and he is the most smug, pleased-with-himself-arrogant d-bag I've ever met. And the Macs themselves are the most useless things ever created by mankind. I don't really need my computer to be inside my monitor, and the term "user friendly" just means that it assumes that whoever uses it is an idiot and/or has the same personality as my aforementioned graphic arts teacher. |

Friday, January 18, 2008 5:00:19 PM First of all, i'm not pissed. Read up, I'm using "mactard" because I found it funny. It's like Calling my mexican Friend a Pendejo. And there is nothing which can get somone pissed faster then saying "you are pissed"Second of all: hmm, it does have WiFi without the box. I was wrong about that. Still Doesn't Mean it isn't a POS. http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9850887... http://gizmodo.com/345177/macbook-airs-f... |

Friday, January 18, 2008 4:13:08 PM Koala, wow..cool it. Got something stuck up your butt don't ya there? Your acting like Apple is trying to shove this down your throat and you're not gonna have it! If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's obviously not intended for people like you. It has WiFi internet capabilitie, i don't know where you got the information that it doesn't. lol Cuz that's a straight up lie! :D I know several people who have already pre-ordered one. You know why? Because they have a full sized desktop at home but want something that small and easy to travel with but that is still powerful enough to get them through 80% of their computing needs.

Friday, January 18, 2008 8:14:34 AM what is the purpose of technology? why do we continually push on trying 2 make it 'better'? isn't it supposed to fit seamlessly into our lives almost as if it were not there at all while providing all of the benefits and comforts that we expect from it? if yes then i believe that apple is on the right track wit making easy to use, good looking, intuitive products... if something has to be a part of my everyday lifestyle i think it should look good, perform well and i should have to think about it too much it should just work the way dat i want it to, in a way that feels natural to me... btw to all you other geeks out there, i'm a mac, what are you??? lol! |

Friday, January 18, 2008 2:18:08 AM " A lot of people think an Ipod is totally different from an mp3 player." - SpaminatorAn iPod isn't an mp3 player. And that's one of the many reasons it sucks. When you add a sound file to the iPod it gets converted into its own format. I prefer an mp3 player that works essentially as an external hard drive with a headphone port. |

Friday, January 18, 2008 12:42:00 AM So in our quest for miniaturisation, we've designed a computer that's too small to take a cd/dvd drive. Genius, that said, I'm sure USB sticks will eventually replace discs, but it'll be a while yet. Why do designers and engineers need to constantly make things smaller? My phone currently has much more computing power than NASA had when they put someone on the moon. Why can't we start making things better in another way? Efficiency? Connectivity? Or design something entirely new? Oh well, rant over... |
