The video pretty much nailed the "big" sites accurately.jmk4422, I've only been coming here about 6 months, just recently registered. I keep coming back, because there is occasionally pretty funny shtuff on here. I ask you, if you were "in charge", what would you change? Have you addressed these ideas to the administrator here? Have you contributed some choice finds? Its one thing to sit on the sidelines and criticize, its another to actually do something to make it better...

Brian61316: Hey man, wasn't trying to be an a-hole over here. I just get frustrated sometimes with how old-school IAB is, still, especially since it had such potential early on. It'll always be one of my regularly visited websites no matter what, but it pains me to see sites like stumbleupon (how can anyone find that POS useful/interesting?!?) kick its butt on a daily basis?!? Whatever. IAB = Good. I just wish that IAB ='d Hip, Popular, and Cutting Edge, too. Eh. |

Oh, and I meant to mention... Digg is younger than IAB. So is Redditt. And Stumbleupon <sp?>. My point is, IAB is old. A good site, a fun site, a site that I'm very fond of. But it's old, people. And it will have to do a ton in the future to catch up with the next generation link-dump sites. |

It's a good one, to be sure, but FancyLad and the other IAB people would have to do a TON of stuff to get the site onto the web-radar (i.e. make it 'famous'). First, they would have to overhaul the code of the entire site. Second, the new code would have to make entries more democratic. Third, they would have to... well... become more like Digg, to tell you the truth. Sorry to say it, but IAB is fading away. I've loved this site for a long time but lately I visit it less and less. With so many alternatives out there, now, why bother going to a site that looks and feels old? Does anyone here remember In4mador? Case in point. |
