The definition isn't as through as it should be.W00t or Whoot comes from the hacker community. It means "Whoo-hoo! I found the Root directory." Whoo-Hoo + root = Whoot, or in l337 speak W00t.
Later the meaning changed to be just yay in general due to abuse. :/ get it right Merriam-Webster |
