Ok. I don't know if that was as much about "logic" as it was what you learned through school. Hmmmm? Passed anyway with a 89%.

yaimhere I can assure you that P->Q and ¬P->¬Q do not give the same truth values.
P->Q is equivalent to ¬P v Q
¬P->¬Q is equivalent to P v ¬Q
Suppose P is true and Q is false. Then the first expression is false and the second is true. And I'm sure you know that true doesn't equal false (except perhaps in quantum computing).
Trust me on this one!

JamieFrost- They are equivalent because they have the same truth value. P>Q=~P>~Q
t then t= true, false then false = true. The only way the would have a different truth value is if "If it was raining then it is nice" which would make that statement ~P>Q which has a truth value of false.
And the factoring question is wrong they are not equal statements the equal statement would be 120x-45x-10x=5(24x-9x-2x)

"@IIDayo Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Between that and the spelling errors in the questions, and the fact that I've got 15 right and 4 wrong SO FAR so this cant be question 19 it was most annoying."
Yeah, i got that question wrong as well and had the same right/wrong as you did! But I was already on the thinking of "The creator of this test is a moron!" so I didn't really care anymore.

<i>"IIdayo and vimto,Did you two by any chance fai maths?
120x-45x-10x = 5(25x-9x-2x)
is equal because:120, 45 and 10 can all be divided by 5, so 5 is the COMMON FACTOR. obviously x stays the same as it is a letter. after that you put the equation, which is now divided by 5 into brackets, with the 5 outside brackets."</i>
I was in Computer Science until I took Solving Statistics Using Derivation and said screw this. I'm pretty sure I can do basic multiplication.
