i was fortunate enough to be there for that. i was staying at the stratosphere hotel and i got to watch it from my room. it was one of the coolest things i've ever seen in my life. |

I think you're confusing mechanical implosion with implosion in terms of buildings.

That's one of the old classics though, The Frontier. It seems all the old classic Vegas hotels you USED to see in old shots of the strip/Fremont are going or gone, The Sands, Stardust, The Frontier, what's next, Glitter Gulch? |
