have you ever watched an episode of scrubs or the oc? or one tree hill ... or friends ... or the sopranos ... or pretty much any show on american TV? Just because you dont realise that some of the bands on there are English doesn't mean they AREN'T english.

and we say British/English, not European because our music is completely different to theirs.

you are all saying they shouldn't be so upset/shocked/annoyed at thier work as it is far better then anything we can produce. thats silly.
If you think your good at something then you produce less then your usual standards sure you will be more fumin then those who can't even produce stuff as good as your mistakes.meh.

salem33466 is the stupidist bastard ever, why are foriegners using american music, maybe they were american how the hell do you know, besides do you ever watch films, most films that aren't american don't use a great deal of american music, not always the case but alot of the time. American films however do usually tap into other countries music banks.

Just take classical music, if you ever hear any in america salem33466 then guess what it aint from america smart arse. but then again you don't strike me as the sort to listen to classical, but there is a whole world of music out there, you are an stupid ignorant tit

"Scene: you're a sculptor, you're blind and Lionel Richie is in love with you."

Strangest. Description. EVER.

salem33466 and anyone else who didn't get it: I'm probably dating myself by saying this, but this clip is a play on a Lionel Richie music video that was popular on that thing called MTV back in the olden days that MrPopenFresh linked to about 5 posts up.

The Hello Experiment title should imply, "how well can you sculpt someone you have never seen" (as implied in the music video). However these are sculptures referenced from a visual memory, not by touch or emotion. Any good artist should be able to produce a good likeness, so I would have appreciated some background information on the competancy of the artists involved, or as any experiment should produce, a finding. Were the qualities of a bust better, or worse with sight removed?

Wow... how did the comments go from sculpting blind to "I hate america/I hate everything that's not America/OMG you guys are so mean"?
On a more relevant note, interesting video and really good sculptures too (considering they were blind)

kezerb: your "self absorbed mean person" comment made me laugh.
antdow3: when i saw that part, i thought that, too! haha
and i do agree that people like salem are the reason that everyone hates americans.
i happen to enjoy music from other contries a lot. anyone ever heard of a german artist named clueso? he's very good. and very good looking, i might add. lol
and no, none of the people in the video were ugly.
and this might be a dumb question: but was the experiment to listen to the song and sculpt the artist without knowing what he looked like? cuz if so, they definitely cheated. i couldnt sculpt richie that well knowing what he looks like AND able to see!

I hope most of you realise this is based on the music video for the song that is playing. In the video, Richie has this kick on a blind girl, and at the end she unveils this sculpture of him that bear his exact ressemblance.

I've been told that "If you talk to any Englishman, they will tell you that England is NOT part of Europe"

...and I just don't understand.

Agit, you call us Americans, and I assume you mean citizens of the United States. I do, however agree that European music is better than Lionel Richie.

@ salem33466, if you consider that "european" (you people do realize that it's a continent? I mean, with quite a few countries and all that, quite different one from the other... just to let you know) anyhow, that european music is worse than Lionel Richie well, fine, it's your opinion and you are perfectly entitled to, but it's my opinion that you have an extremely questionable taste in music.
Either that, or you are deaf... :P
